High Passes of Dolpo and Phoksundo Lake Trekking lies between the Tibetan Plateau and Dhaulagiri Himal in the mid-west of Nepal is a remote land, Dolpo, one of the highest inhabited plateau on earth. Dolpo trek is touph, Geographically a southern extension of Tibet, Dolpo lies within Nepal's boundaries and since 1984 has been the country's largest National Park. The largest district of Nepal but with the smallest population, Dolpo is home to a fascinating race of Tibetan-speaking people. The park sustains an abundance of wildlife, including Musk Deer, Himalayan Blue Sheep and the legendary Snow Leopard.
Made famous by Peter Mathiessen's book, 'The Snow Leopard' and more recently by the Oscar nominated film 'Himalaya', Dolpo was virtually inaccessible to western exploration until 1989, and even now it is difficult to trek outside the southern fringe of the district. This trek however, ventures into Upper Dolpo, a land of superb mountain views, visiting the spectacular Phoksumdo Lake and crossing the high passes of Numa La and Baga-La to Dho Tarap. The trek begins at airstrip of Juphal after a short flight from the terrain town of Nepalgunj which is well connected by both road and air from Kathmandu.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then, transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trek at evening.
Day 03: Flight/Drive from Kathmandu – Nepalgunj (150m) then transfer to Hotel.
Day 04: Nepalgunj – Juphal (2,345m) by flight and trek to Dunai Bazar (2,140m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Dubai Bazar – Tarakot (Khani Gaon - 2,650m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 06: Tarakot – Laini Odar (3,160m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 07: Laini – Nawarpani (3,475m), Sim Odar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 08: Nawarpani – Dho Tarap Village (4,040m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 09: Rest and explore around Dho Tarap Village. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 10: Do Tarap Village – Tokyu – Numala Base Camp (4,180m) O/N Camping.
Day 11: Numala –Numala La Pass (5,309m) – Bagala Base Camp (4,465m). O/N at Camping.
Day 12: Bagala BC – Bagala-La (5,169m) – other side of Bagala Base Camp. O/N at Camping.
Day 13: Bagala BC – Ringmo Village (3,730m - Shey Phoksundo Lake). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 14: Day hike, explore around Shey Phoksundo Lake (3,600m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 15: Ringmo Village - Chhepka (Sepka - 2,838m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 16: Chhepka - Suli Ghat (2,282m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 17: Suli Ghat - Juphal (2,475m) and transfer to Tea-house Lodge.
Day 18: Flight from Juphal to Nepalgunj and Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 19: Leisure day in Kathmandu for rest or to explore the surrounding.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure

Day 08: Day for hike to Shey Phoksundo Lake (3,600m), explore around. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 09: Ringmo Village - Baga-la High Camp (4,686m). O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Bagala High Camp - Bagala-La (5,190m) Pass - Bagaa BC (4,465m). O/N at Camping.
Day 11: Numala Base Camp - Numala-La Pass (5309m) - Numala Base Camp (4180m).
Day 12: Numala Base Camp - Dho Tarap Village (3,944m) via Tokyu. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 13: Rest day at Dho Tarap and exploration of the surrounding area. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 14: Dho Tarap Village - Nawarpani (Pibuk - 3,475m) or Sim Odar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 15: Nawarpani - Laina Odar (Laini - 3,370m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 16: Laina Odar - Tarakot (Khani Gaon - 2,540m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 17: Tarakot - Dunai Bazar (2,140m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge
Day 18: Dunai Bazar - Juphal Airport (2,475m) and transfer to O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Hotel.
Day 19: Flight from Juphal - Nepalgunj and Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
