A challenging, remote trek with high passes and incredible mountain scenery Waterfall, Lower Dolpo and Kagmara

Kagmara Pass Trek is an outstanding trek in the isolated area of west part of Nepal at Dolpo Region where trek can also be done even in the mid monsoon as it lies in the rain shadow area formed by the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. Trekking in the Dolpo region has its own charm, people here still lead a primitive life, yet they are friendly. This is also one of few areas where pre-Buddhist Bon Po religion is still practiced and its culture.

The trail goes over three high passes, the Kagmara-La (5,115m), Baga-La (5,090m) and Numa-La (5,190m) passing the deep-blue tranquil Phoksumdo Lake and finally concludes at Juphal descending the gorge-side path of Do Tarap Khola. The trek begins at the airstrip of Juphal after a short flight from the terrain town of Nepalgunj which is well connected by both road and air from Kathmandu Valley.

Outline Trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trek at evening.
Day 03: Flight/Drive from Kathmandu – Nepalgunj (150m) then transfer to Hotel.
Day 04: Flight to Jumla (2,540m) then start trek to Ghotichour (2,650m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 05: Ghotichour – Chotra (3,380m)/Chhopagaon (3,085m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 06: Chotra/Chhopagaon – Chaurikot (3,060m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 07: Chaurikot – Kaigaon/Hurikot (2,610m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 08: Kaigaon/Hurikot – Garpung Khola/Taijum (Namarsa - 2,920m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 09: Taijum/Namarsa - Kagmara Phedi (3,500m). O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Kagmara Phedi - Kagmara-La Pass (5,115m - Kagmara La Phedi (4,800m). O/N at Camping.
Day 11: Kagmara La Phedi - Lasa Pass (4,060m) - Pungmo (3,500m). O/N at Camping.
Day 12: Pungmo – Ringmo Village (Shey Phoksundo Lake - 3,641m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 13: Rest day for to explore surrounding Ringmo, Shey Phoksundo Lake). O/N at T. Lodge/Camping.
Day 14: Ringmo Village – Bagala High Camp (4,686m). O/N at Camping.
Day 15: Bagala High Camp - Bagala La Pass (5,169m) – Danigar (4,512m) O/N at Camping.
Day 16: Danigar - Numala La Pass (5,309m) – Dho Tarap Village (3,944m) O/N at T. Lodge/Camping.
Day 17: Dho Tarap Village Rest day for explore Village around. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 18: Dho Tarap – Newarpani (Pibuk - 3,475m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 19: Newarpani – Laina Odar (Lahini 3,370m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 20: Laina Odar – Tarakot (2,540m) or, Sahartara (2,730m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 21: Tarakot/Sahartara – Dunai Bazar (2,140m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Hotel.
Day 22: Dunai Bazar – Juphal Airport (2,475m) and transfer to Teahouse lodge/Hotel.
Day 23: Juphal Airport – Nepalgunj by flight then transfer to Hotel.
Day 24: Flight/Drive from Nepalgunj – Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 25: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 26: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Cost Includes

All land transportation by Car, Jeep, Toyota Hiace or, Tourist Bus. (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
4 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and 2 nights in Nepalgunj at Bed & Breakfast basis.
All 3 major meals a day; Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) and accommodation in tented camp during the trek en-route. (twin sharing North Face tent or, normal trekking tent, dining tent, toilet tent, Kitchen tent, staff tent, Table, chairs and Kitchen utensil etc.).
One professional English speaking trekking guide, 1 Cook, Kitchen boys, necessary Sherpa and Porters.
Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages.
Per member 10 Kg. luggage allow while in the trekking.
