A challenging, remote trek with high passes and incredible mountain scenery Waterfall, Lower Dolpo and Kagmara

Kagmara Pass Trek is an outstanding trek in the isolated area of west part of Nepal at Dolpo Region where trek can also be done even in the mid monsoon as it lies in the rain shadow area formed by the Dhaulagiri & Annapurna ranges. Trekking in the Dolpo region has its own charm, people here still lead a primitive life, yet they are friendly. This is also one of few areas where pre-Buddhist Bon Po religion is still practiced and its culture.

The trail goes over three high passes, the Kagmara-La (5115m.), Baga-La (5090m.) and Numa-La (5,190m.) passing the deep-blue tranquil Phoksumdo Lake and finally concludes at Juphal descending the gorge-side path of Do Tarap Khola. The trek begins at the airstrip of Juphal after a short flight from the terrain town of Nepalgunj which is well connected by both road and air from Kathmandu Valley.

Outline Trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1350m.), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu free, trekking briefing at evening.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Nepalgunj (150m.) by flight then transfer to Hotel.
Day 04: Flight to Jumla and start trek to Ghotichour.
Day 05: Ghotichour – Napukhola (3,000m.).
Day 06: Napukhola – Chaurikot (3,000m.).
Day 07: Chaurikot – Bheri River Side (Majhgaon - 2890m.).
Day 08: Bheri Riverside (Majhgaon) – Garpung Khola - Taijum (2920m.).
Day 09: Taijum - Kagmara Phedi (3500m.).
Day 10: Kagmara Phedi - Kagmara-La Pass 5115m. - Kagmara Khola or Lasa Phedi.
Day 11: Kagmara Khola - Lasa Pass (4060m.) - Pungmo (3,050m.).
Day 12: Pungmo – Ringmo Gaon, Phoksundo Lake (3,641m.).
Day 13: Phoksundo Lake explore and rest.
Day 14: Phoksundo Lake – Bagala Pass (5,090m.).
Day 15: Bagala Pass – Numla Pass Base Camp (5,190m.).
Day 16: Numla Pass Base Camp – Do Tarap.
Day 17: Dho Tarap rest and explore around.
Day 18: Dho Tarap – Ghyamgar (3755m.).
Day 19: Ghyamgar – Lahani (3370m.).
Day 20: Lahani – Tarakot (2,540m.).
Day 21: Tarakot – Dunai (2,150m.).
Day 22: Dunai – Juphal and transfer to tea house lodge.
Day 23: Juphal – Nepalgunj by flight then transfer to Hotel.
Day 24: Nepalgunj – Kathmandu by flight then transfer to Hotel.
Day 25: Kathmandu free.
Day 26: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Cost Includes

4 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu and 2 nights in Nepalgunj at Bed & Breakfast basis.
