One of the superb, best alpine treks to Machhapuchhre & Annapurna Base Camp, the Sanctuary of the Gods

The aptly named Annapurna Sanctuary is the most intensely scenic short trek in Nepal. Annapurna Himal is a vast massif with several peaks above 7000m. Part of the range forms a natural amphitheatre known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, ringed by such giants as Annapurna 1st, Glacier Dome, Gangapurna, Fang and Machhapuchhre. We trek through forested hillsides to Ghorepani where we ascend Poon Hill for a magnificent panoramic sunrise of the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri Himalayas.

Entering a narrow valley we pass directly below Machhapuchhre before reaching the Sanctuary, a veritable home of the Gods. We have a day to explore this magnificent place before returning to Pokhara via a different route. This is a fairly strenuous alpine trek offering close-up mountain panoramic views equal to any in the Himalaya. We have designed the verities of programs to suite your holidays just find out.

Outline Trek Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Drive or, Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (915m) and transfer to Hotel.
Day 03: Jeep drive to Nayapul (1,070m) – Ulleri Village (2,073m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Ulleri Village – Ghorepani Village (2,874m), explore surrounding areas. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Ghorepani Village – Poon Hill (3,210m) – Tadapani Village (2,630m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Tadapani Village – Chomrong Village (2,170m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Chomrong Village – Himalaya Hotel (2,840m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Himalaya Hotel – Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,757m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Machhapuchhre Base Camp - Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 10: Annapurna Base Camp – Himalaya Hotel. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 11: Himalaya Hotel – Chomrong Village. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 12: Trek to Kyumrung Khola (Kimrong–1,780m), Jeep, Bus drive back to Pokhara then transfer to Hotel.
Day 13: Drive or, Flight from Pokhara – Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 14: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 15: Last minute, transfers to TIA airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Cost Includes

3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, 2 nights in Pokhara, at Bed & Breakfast basis.
