Trip Overview

One of the world's classic pilgrimages trekking around the entire Annapurna range

Muktinath trek takes place in the north of Pokhara offering some of the most dramatic close-up views of some of the highest and most beautiful mountains in the world. The abrupt variation in altitude found here is astonishing. The summit of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6,993m.) is less than 32 kilometers with no intervening ranges to spoil the view.

Jomsom is the only place along the Annapurna Circuit, which is connected by Air with Pokhara and Kathmandu. It is also the district headquarters of Mustang, which includes part of the legendary Mustang and the Muktinath region. This trail is a mild climb from Jomsom (2,713m) to Muktinath (3,802m) with spectacular panorama of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range.
