Tibet, a sacred place in the sky, embraced by nature. Its central city, Lhasa, is about 3,660 meters above sea level and is a Tibetan Buddhist sacred place which means “land of God” in Tibetan. The main attraction of Kathmandu Lhasa Overland Tour is Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace, Sera Monastery, Barkhor Market, Drepung Monastery, Summer Palace of Dalai Lama and Jokhang Temple.

The Dalai Lama palace was built in the 17th century. Potala means sanctuary in Sanskrit, and Buddhist pilgrimages are endless. It is also registered as a World Heritage Site. And the other attraction of this tour is Norbulingka. It is a garden that the Dalai Lama VII landscaping, meaning “garden of jewels” in Tibetan. 7 Nights 8 Days Kathmandu to Lhasa Overland Tour is drive in fly out tour package. Kathmandu Lhasa, Tibet tour starts from Kathmandu, Nepal and also ends in Kathmandu. You will take a beautiful drive from Kathmandu to Lhasa and fly back to Kathmandu from Tibet airport.

Outline Tour Itinerary: (Drive in/Fly out)

Day 01: Kathmandu (1350m.) – Kyirong Border (2800m.) 185Km: 06-07 hours drive.
Trip start from Kathmandu to Kyirong Border (145Km) 06-07 hours drive and O/N at guest house.

Day 02: Kyirong Town (2800m.) – Tingri (4,300m.)/ Lhatse (4,350m.) 370 Km: 05-06 hours drive.
Drive from Kyirong - Tingri (4300m.)/Lhatse (4,350m): 225 Km/244 Km and O/N at hotel, enjoy magnificent views along the journey enjoy the mountain view.

Day 03: Tingri (4,300m.)/ Lhatse (4,350m.) – Shigatse (3,900m.) 235Km/ 265Km: 05-06 hours drive.
Tingri/Lhaste - Shigatse (3,900m.): 244Km.,Continue scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu-La (5,220m.), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt. Kailash bifurcates to the west. O/N at Hotel.

Day 04: Shigatse (3,900m.) – Gyantse (3,950m.) 90Km: (04-05) hours drive.
Shigatse - Gyantse (3,950m): 90 Km, Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa and Phalkor Monastery. O/N at Hotel.

Day 05: Gyantse (3,950m.) – Lhasa (3,600m.) 261 Km: 05-06 hours drive.
Gyantse - Lhasa (3,660m.): 261Km, Drive from Gyantse to Lhasa pass by the modern glacier and Yamdrok Lake, reach Lhasa. O/N at Hotel.

Day 06: First Day of Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa (3,600m.)

Day 07: Second Day of Sightseeing Tour in Lhasa (3,600m.)
Full day sightseeing tours in Lhasa (Potala palace, Sera Monastery, Jokhang temple and Bakhor street, Drepung Monastery)

Day 08: Lhasa to Kathmandu or Mainland China (Beijing/Chengdu/Shanghai).
Transfer to the Gongkar airport and fly back to Kathmandu or your own destination.
