Trip Overview

An excursion trekking around Langtang to Helambu valley with panoramic Mountain View.

According to legend, the Langtang valley was discovered by Lama following runway Yak, hence the name ‘Lang’ is Yak for Tibetan and ‘Tang’ means to follow. Langtang is a narrow valley that lies just south of Tibet boarder sandwiched between main Himalayan range to the northern and a slightly lower range of snow clad peaks to the south. This high and isolated region is inhabited by people of Tibetan origin, who practice Buddhism. Langtang and Helambu Excursion offers an opportunity to explore village as well as to visit glaciers at the head of the valley, Langtang people and their life style within the Langtang National Park boundary.

A perfect harmony between nature and human, high altitude jungles with diverse flora and fauna, scenic lakes and imposing Himalayan peaks like Ganesh Himal, Mt. Langtang Lirung (7,245m), Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Shishapangma (Chinese Mountain). There is a large rock at the center of the lake, which said to be the remains of a Shiva shrine. There are more than 100 lakes around it such as Saraswati, Bhairav, Surya Kunda, Gosain Kunda Lake and Ganesh Kunda Lake etc. to explore.

Outline Trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Drive to Syabru Bensi (1,462m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 03: Syabru Bensi – Lama Hotel (2,470m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Lama Hotel – Langtang Village. (3,430m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Langtang Village – Kyangjing Gompa. (3,870m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Day hiking to Tserko Ri Peak and back to Kyangjing Gompa. (5,033m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Kyangjing Gompa – Lama Hotel. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Lama Hotel – Thulo Syabru Village. (2,210m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Thulo Syabru Village – Chandanbari. (Shing Gompa - 3,330m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 10: Chandanbari – Gosain Kunda Lake. (4,380m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 11: Gosain Kunda rest day for explore around. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 12: Gosain Kunda - Louri Binayak Pass (4,609m) – Tharepati (3,597m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 13: Tharepati – Tarkeghayang Village. (2,590m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 14: Tarkeghayang – Sermathang Village. (Sarmathang - 2,621m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 15: Sermathang – Melamchi Pul Bazar. (846m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Melamchi Bazar to Kathmandu by drive then transfers to Hotel.
Day 17: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 18: Last minute, transfers to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Cost Includes

All land transportation by Car, Jeep, Toyota Hiace or, tourist Bus. (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed & Breakfast basis.
Kathmandu/Syabru Bensi and Melamchi Bazar/Kathmandu by Car, Jeep, Toyota Hiace or by local Bus.
3 Major meals a day; B/L/D (by Lodge menu) and accommodation at best available teahouse lodge during the trek en-route.
