Langtang for the adventurous, High passes and trekking peaks on the Tibetan border

Langtang and Ganja la Pass Trekking that takes you to the famous Langtang region and the Ganja La pass (5122m.). Moreover, we also make an interesting excursion to Tserko Ri (5,033m.) which offers tremendous views of the Langtang Himalaya range. The attraction the Langtang region is that it’s so close to Kathmandu and yet it’s as wild as any Tibetan highlands. Langtang region is also famous for its Gosaikunda Lakes. Moreover, the company of green rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls, and snow-capped Himalayas make the trek one of most diverse treks near Kathmandu. The people living the highlands of the Langtang region are certainly the Nepalis, being the descendant of the Tibetan origin, they still look like Tibetans.

We start the adventure with a day’s bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The trek begins from Syabrubesi, via the Kanyanjing Gompa crosses the mighty Ganja-La pass, and ends at the Melamchi Pul Bazar in the Helambu region. Toward the end of the trip, you will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries around the delightful villages of Tarke Gyang and Sermathang before heading back to Kathmandu.

Outline Trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu – Syabru Bensi (1462m) by public Bus. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 03: Syabru Bensi – Lama Hotel (2470m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Lama Hotel – Langtang Village (3430m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Langtang – Kyangjing Gompa (3870m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Day hiking to Tsherko Ri (5033m) and return to Kyangjing Gompa. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Day for Langsisa Kharka exploration. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Kyangjing Gompa – Ngengang Kharka (4430m) O/N at Camping.
Day 09: Ngengang Kharka – Ganja-La Pass (5110m) – Keldang (4270m) O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Keldang - Dupku Kharka (4040m) O/N at Camping.
Day 11: Dukpu Kharka – Tarkeghayang (2590m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 12: Tarkeghyang to Sermathang (Sarmathang - 2621m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 13: Tarkeghayang – Melamchi Bazar (846m) and drive to Kathmandu, transfer to Hotel.
Day 14: Kathmandu free for shopping and farewell dinner at evening.
Day 15: Last minute, transfers to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Cost Includes

All land transportation by Car, Jeep, Toyota Hiace or, tourist Bus. (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed and Breakfast basis.
