Langtang for the adventurous, High passes and trekking peaks on the Tibetan border
Langtang and Ganja la Pass Trekking that takes you to the famous Langtang region and the Ganja La pass (5122m.). Moreover, we also make an interesting excursion to Tserko Ri (5,033m.) which offers tremendous views of the Langtang Himalaya range. The attraction the Langtang region is that it’s so close to Kathmandu and yet it’s as wild as any Tibetan highlands. Langtang region is also famous for its Gosaikunda Lakes. Moreover, the company of green rhododendron and bamboo forests, majestic waterfalls, and snow-capped Himalayas make the trek one of most diverse treks near Kathmandu. The people living the highlands of the Langtang region are certainly the Nepalis, being the descendant of the Tibetan origin, they still look like Tibetans.
We start the adventure with a day’s bus ride from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The trek begins from Syabrubesi, via the Kanyanjing Gompa crosses the mighty Ganja-La pass, and ends at the Melamchi Pul Bazar in the Helambu region. Toward the end of the trip, you will also trek through some beautiful rice terraces and a number of splendid Buddhist monasteries around the delightful villages of Tarke Gyang and Sermathang before heading back to Kathmandu.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu – Syabrubensi (1,462) by public Bus. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 03: Syabrubensi – Lama Hotel (2,380m.).
Day 04: Lama Hotel – Langtang Village (3,500m.).
Day 05: Langtang rest for the acclimatization or exploration.
Day 06: Langtang – Kyangjing Gompa (3,700m.).
Day 07: Day Hiking Tsherko Ri (5,033m.).
Day 08: Kyanjing – Langshisa Kharka Exploration.
Day 09: Kyangjing Gompa – Ganja-La Pass Base camp.
Day 10: Ganja-La Base Camp – Ganja-La Pass (5,122m.) – Dukpu Kharka (4,023m.).
Day 11: Dukpu Kharka – Tarkeghayang (2,560m.).
Day 12: Tarkeghayang – Sarmathang (2,621m.).
Day 13: Sarmathang – Melamchi Pul Bazar (846m.).
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu then transfers to Hotel.
Day 15: Kathmandu free and farewell dinner.
Day 16: Last minute transfers to airport for your onward journey.
