Trip Overview

This wonderful trek takes yoou into the heart of the Khumbu valley. This high-altitude alpine trek explores the heart of the Sherpa homeland, entering to Lukla then visiting Namche Bazar and Tengboche, before ascending the stunning Gokyo Valley to the glacial lakes under the great peak of Cho Oyu (8,153m). Here we can climb Gokyo Ri 5,360 meter for a marvelous view of Everest and the rest of this high mountain wilderness. We rejoin the classic route to Everest Case Camp used by all the great climbing parties when attempting the peak from the Nepalese side.

There is ample time for acclimatization, and at the higher altitudes we are able to get well away from the most trekked areas. Our aim is to visit the Gokyo and hiking to Gokyo Ri, which offers another fabulous view of Mt. Everest along with a host of other great peaks. Our 14 days trek will end at Lukla and scenic and panoramic fly back to Kathmandu.

Outline Trekking Itinerary: Spring & Autumn

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Flight from Kathmandu/Ramechhap to Lukla (2,860m) and trek to Phakding (2,652m) T. Lodge.
Day 03: Phakding – Namche Bazar. (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Rest day for acclimatization, with a day hike to Hotel Everest View (3,790m) and the surrounding areas.
Day 05: Namche – Dole Village (4,200m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Dole Village – Machharmo Village. (4,470m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Machharmo Village – Gokyo Village. (Lake - 4,790m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Morning ascent to Gokyo Ri Peak (5,357m), descent to Gokyo. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Gokyo Village – Dole Village. (4,200m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 10: Dole Village – Namche Bazar. O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 11: Namche Bazar – Lukla Bazar and transfer to Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 12: Flight from Lukla to Ramechhap or, Kathmandu and transfers to Hotel.
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 14: Last minute, transfers to TIA airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Cost Includes

All land transportation by Car, Jeep, Toyota Hiace or, tourist Bus. (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed & Breakfast basis.
3 Major meals; B/L/D (by Lodge menu) and accommodation at best available teahouse lodge during the trek en-route.
1 English speaking trekking guide and necessary Porter. (1 Porter between two member)
