Everest Base Camp with Island Peak Climb, Kala Pattar Trekking and Climb Island Peak

Trip Overview

Everest Base Camp and Island Peak climbing is a beauty of its mountains and hospitality and warmth of its Sherpa people are legendary. This wonderful trek takes us into the heart of the Khumbu Valley, and visits Everest Base Camp. An ascent of Kala Patthar (5,545m), is good acclimatization and gives us magnificent close-up views of Everest. Leaving the main trail we decent to Chhukung via Dingboche. We then move into the Imja Valley to the base of Island Peak.

The climb of Island Peak (6,165m) is challenging, involving scrambling on rock, an ascent of a snow face and then tackling the final ridge. For those who are well acclimatized, determined and have the energy, the views from the top provide some of the most striking scenery in the Khumbu region. Our descent, surprisingly fast, brings us back to Lukla and to our flight to Kathmandu.

Outline Trekking Itinerary: Spring & Autumn

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff and transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Flight from Kathmandu/Ramechhap to Lukla (2,860m) then trek to Phakding (2,652m) T. Lodge.
Day 03: Phakding – Namche Bazar (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Rest day for acclimatization, with a day hike to Hotel Everest View (3,790m) and the surrounding areas.
Day 05: Namche – Tengboche Village (3,867m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Tengboche Village – Pheriche Village (4,371m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Pheriche Village – Lobuche Village (4,940m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Lobuche Village – Gorakshep (5,140m) - visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Early morning ascent to Kala Patthar (5,545m) and trek back to Lobuche. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 10: Lobuche Village – Dingboche Village (4,410m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 11: Dingboche Village – Island Peak Base Camp (5,100m). O/N at Camping.
Day 12: Island Peak Base Camp – High Camp (5,600m) and preparation. O/N at Camping.
Day 13: High Camp – Island Peak (6,165m.) summit and back to Chhukung (4,730m). O/N at T. Lodge.
Day 14: Chhukung Village – Tengboche Village. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 15: Tengboche Village – Namche Bazar. O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Namche Bazar – Lukla Bazar (2,860m) then transfer to Hotel.
Day 17: Flight from Lukla to Ramechhap or, Kathmandu and transfers to Hotel.
Day 18: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 19: Last minute, transfers to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Cost Includes

All land transportation by Car, Jeep, Toyota Hiace or, tourist Bus. (Airport/Hotel/Airport, trekking pick up and drop).
3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed & Breakfast basis.
3 Major meals; B/L/D (by Lodge menu) and accommodation at best available teahouse lodge during the trek en-route.
1 English speaking equipped, professional trekking + climbing guide, Cook, Kitchen boys and necessary Porter. (1 Porter between 2 member).
