Trip Overview

Pharchamo Peak also known as Parchemuche standing at height of 6,279 metres is adventurous trip set in the remote off the beaten trail of the Rolwaling valley traversing to the amazing Tsho Rolpa, one of the biggest glacial lakes of Nepal. Following the thrill of crossing the challenging Tashi Lapcha Pass, a triumphant climb to the silent Parchamo Peak summit beautifies the experience. Moreover, the desolate route meets the bustling classic Everest trail in the temperate and subalpine terrain of Sagarmatha National Park. Pharchamo Peak first ascent by two British Phil Boultbee and Dennis Davis on April 18, 1955.

Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek with Pharchamo Peak is a striking journey that sums up the beauty of both Rolwaling valley and Khumbu region of Nepal. This thrilling and inspiring trek leads you to a faraway location and lets you acknowledge the lovely views of the Himalayas with the difficulties of crossing the high-mountain pass of Tashi Lapcha (5,755m.). Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek is an amazing mixture of the quiet and quaint paths of the remote Rolwaling region with the bustling trails of the Khumbu region. Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek involves steep climbing, lots of patience, and rock climbing, thus, is a thrilling and adventurous journey in the Himalayas. Pharchamo Peak Climbing itinerary starts with a drive to the northeast of Kathmandu towards Gongor Khola, from where the trek progresses to Simigaun, Dhongang, Beding, and Na village, Tashilapcha Pass ans descent to Lukla or trip starts from taking flight to Lukla and trek ascent to Pharchamo base Camp via Thame and descent the same route.

Outline Peak Climbing Itinerary: A via Simigaon

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trip at evening.
Day 03: Jeep or, Bus drive to Chhetchhet Village (1,377m) transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Chhetchhet – Simigaon (Simi Village - 2,036m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Simigaun – Dokhang (Dugang - 2,791m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Dokhang – Beding Village (3,693m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Beding – Na Gaun ( Na Village - 4,183m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Na Gaon Rest day for acclimatization and explore around. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Na Gaon – Tsho Rolpa Lake Glacier Camp. (Chugima - 4,735m). O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Ascent to Tashi Lapcha Pass (5,755m) - Tashi Phuk (Cave - 5,130m). O/N at Camping.
Day 11: Pharchamo Peak - Set up high Camp (5,665m) and preparation. O/N at Camping.
Day 12: Ascent to Pharchamo Peak (6,279m) summit, descent to Tashi Phuk - Cave Camp.
Day 13: Contingency day, incase of bad weather, clean BC and backpack. O/N at Camping.
Day 14: Trek descent to Thengpo (4,230m) or, Thame Village (3820m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 15: Thengpo/Thame Village to Namche Bazar (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Namche Bazar – Lukla Bazar (2,860m) then transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Day 17: Flight from Lukla to Kathmandu then transfers to Hotel.
Day 18: Free day in Kathmandu for rest and farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 19: Last minute, transfers to TIA airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trip at evening.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla (2,860m) and trek to Phakding (2,610m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Phakding Village – Namche Bazar (3,440m) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Rest day for acclimatization, with a day hike to Hotel Everest View (3,790m) and the surrounding areas.
Day 06: Namche Bazar – Thame Village (3,820m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Thame – Thengpo (Thyangmoche - 4,230m) - Pharchamo Base Camp (4,780m). O/N at Camping.
Day 08: Pharchamo Base Camp – Ngole, Tashi Phuk (Cave - 5,130m). O/N at Camping.
Day 09: Pharchamo Peak - Set up high camp (5,665m) and preparation. O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Ascent to Pharchamo Peak (6,279m) summit, descent to Tashi Phuk - Cave Camp.

Cost Includes

  • All pick-up and drop-off services for both international and domestic flights are provided as per the itinerary (Airport-Hotel-Airport and trip pick-up and drop-off).

  • Equipments allowance and daily wages for the H. A. Climbing guide.
  • Necessary Porters to carry member luggage and climbing equipments. (1 Porter between 2 climbing member).
  • Equipments allowance, daily wages of base camp Cook, kitchen helpers and porters.
  • Helicopter rescue coverage, medical expenses, accident insurance for the H. A. Climbing guide.
  • Per member 15 Kg. luggage allow in the trek and climbing.
  • Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages
  • Technical Climbing Gears: High Tent, Snow bars, Rock Pitons, Shovel, EPI Gas, Gas Burner, enough Korean Rope and high food.
  • First Aid Medical Kit Box in trekking and at Base Camp.
  • Walkie-talkies will be provided for communication between Base Camp and the summit, depending on the size of the group.
  • Farewell dinner in a typical Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu.
  • Mt. Pharchamo summit certificate after the successful summit of the peak.
  • Nepal government official taxes and company service charge.

Cost Excludes

  • International airfare: To and from your country.
  • Nepal entry visa fee (To be applied for 30 days - Visa can be obtained upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport-Kathmandu).
  • Personal transportation except above programs.
  • Major meals lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu.
  • Hotel after 5 nights stay in Kathmandu.
  • Personal trekking and climbing gears (trekking and climbing Boots).
  • Personal Sleeping bag (should cover -20º Celsius) and mattress for the high camp.
  • Extra meals while on trek (besides breakfast, lunch, dinner and 3 times Tea or, coffee)
  • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, hospital medical expenses, emergency evacuation and lost your luggage.
  • Personal Expenses: Phone calls, wifi while on the trek, battery charging, laundry service, postage, alcoholic beverages, bottles and canned beverages, specialty coffee or espresso drinks etc during in teahouse lodges on the way to base camp and return.
  • Airport customs charges for communication equipment, Drone Camera, commercial filming permits during the trek and peak climbing. (If required)
  • Airport customs charges for peak climbing gear and materials. (If climber sent by cargo to Kathmandu)
  • Bank/wire transfer fees (if applicable).
  • Risk of flight delays to and from Lukla or any other reason. (incase of bad weather)
  • Any other service cost which is not included in the cost includes.
  • Tips and Gratuities for climbing guide, cook, Kitchen boys and porters.

Tipping System:
Tipping is done on a group-sharing basis by peak climbing participants. The minimum recommended amounts are as bellow:
1. Trek+Climbing Guide, a Cook: Min. USD 150 each.
2. BC Kitchen Boys/Helpers: Min. USD 100 each.
3. Porters: Min. USD 50 each.
