Ombigaichen Peak stands at height of 6340 metres which is one of the infrequently climbed peaks is located in the eastern Himalayas and Mahalangur range in the Everest region at Solukhumbu district, Nepal. Ombigaichen Peak Climbing is an arresting mountain situated 2.3km south-east of Ama Dablam on the extended ridge that joins Ama Dablam with Baruntse. The Ombigaichen Peak rewards you with the views of Himalayan peaks like Mt. Everest (8848m.), Lhotse (9501m.), Nuptse (7879m.), Makalu (8475m.), Ama Dablam (6856m.), Baruntse (7720m.) and nameless peaks. Ombigaichen Peak was first climbed by an expedition led by Edmund Hillary. The Briton James Milledge and the Nepalese Sherpa Ang Tshering Sherpa reached the summit on November 18, 1960 over via northwest ridge. On December 3, 2002, a British expedition led by Victor Saunders was successful. She reached the summit via the south ridge.
The trip to Ombigaichen peak climbing begins after a pleasant flight to Lukla from Kathmndu and from there the track leads gradually up to Dudh Kosi River. We go across a suspension bridge and ascend up slowly towards a large hill to get to Namche Bazar then continue to Ama Dablam base camp. We, then finally we arrive at the summit of Ombigaichen Peak Base Camp.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trip at evening.
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,860m.) and trek to Phakding (2,610m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazar (3,440m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Namche Bazar rest for acclimatization and explore around, O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Namche Bazar – Tengboche (3,860m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Tengboche – Ama Dablam Base Camp (4,600m.) O/N at Camping.
Day 08: Trek to Ombigaichen Peak Base Camp (4,576m.) Set up Camp. O/N at Camping.
Day 09: Ombigaichen Base Camp rest and preparation for summit push. O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Ombigaichen Peak Base Camp – Camp 1 (Minbo-La - 5,250m.) O/N at Camping.
Day 11/12: Climbing Period for Mt. Ombigaichen (6,340m.) Summit and back to Base Camp.
Day 13: Contingency day, clean Base Camp, Backpack for return. O/N at Camping.
Day 14: Ombigaichen Base Camp – Tengboche (3,860m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 15: Tengboche – Monjo (2,840m.) O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Monjo – Lukla Bazar (2,866m.) and transfer to teahouse Lodge.
Day 17: Lukla – Kathmandu by early flight and transfers to Hotel.
Day 18: Kathmandu leisure and farewell dinner at evening.
Day 19: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.
Tipping System:
Tipping is done on a group-sharing basis by peak climbing participants. The minimum recommended amounts are as bellow:
1. Trek+Climbing Guide, a Cook: Min. USD 150 each.
2. BC Kitchen Boys/Helpers: Min. USD 100 each.
3. Porters: Min. USD 50 each.
