Our 21 days trip also involves a fascinating journey in the remote Himalayan region and crossing of the Amphu Labcha pass. Situated on the edge of the famous Khumbu region and dominated by Mt. Everest, climbing Mera peak is an opportunity for all adventure seekers. Plus, there are astonishing views of Mount Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Lhotse, Cho-Oyu and other Himalayan Peaks to look forward to. Mera Peak and Amphu Lapcha Pass trip offers extreme adventure at Upper Hinku valley inside the Everest and Khumbu region of Nepal. Climbing Mera Peak is the highest trekking permitted peaks of Nepal and is widely acknowledged by climbers for being the technically difficult and challenging peak.
The first ascent of Mera Peak was also made in 1953 by J.O.M. Roberts and Sen Tenzing. But, the proper ascent was made by French climbers M. Jolly, G. Baus and L. Honnis in 1975. The peak rises to the south of Everest and dominates the watershed between Hinku and Hongu valleys. During the trekking you visit different Sherpa settlements where you can explore their culture and lifestyle enjoying their friendly behavior. Mera Peak Climbing with Amphu Lapcha Trek starts from Lukla after the 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trip at evening.
Day 03: Flight to Lukla (2,860m) trek to Chutanga (3,173m) or Kharketanga. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Chutanga – Zatrwa La Pass (4,592m) – Thuli Kharka (4,400m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Thuli Kharka – Kothe Village (Kote or Lungsamba - 4,182m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Kothe Village – Tangnang Village (Thangnak - 4,356m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Rest day in Tangnang for acclimatization. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Tangnang – Khare. (Base Camp - 5,045m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Rest day for acclimatization and preparation for climb. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 10: Khare Base Camp to Mera Peak High Camp (5,800m). O/N at Camping.
Day 11: Ascent of Mera Peak (6,470m) summit, descent to Kongma Dingma (4,900m) O/N at Camping.
Day 12: Contingency day, incase of bad weather, Clean Base Camp and backpack. O/N at Camping.
Day 13: Kangme Dingma – Set Pokhari (4,850m). O/N at Camping.
Day 14: Seto Pokhari – Amphu Lapcha or, Mt. Baruntse Base Camp (5,450m). O/N at Camping.
Day 15: Amphu Lapcha BC – Amphu Lapcha Pass (5,780m) – Chhukung (4,730m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Chhukung Village – Tengboche Village (3,867m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 17: Tengboche Village – Namche Bazar (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 18: Namche Bazar – Lukla Bazar then Overnight at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 19: Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu then transfers to Hotel.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu for rest and farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 21: Last minute, transfers to TIA airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.
Tipping System:
Tipping is done on a group-sharing basis by peak climbing participants. The minimum recommended amounts are as bellow:
1. Trek+Climbing Guide, a Cook: Min. USD 150 each.
2. BC Kitchen Boys/Helpers: Min. USD 80 each.
3. Porters: Min. USD 40 each.
