Trip Overview

Ganja La Chuli Peak (5,863m), also known as Naya Kanga, is a stunning peak located south of Kyangjin Gompa - the final village of the popular Langtang Trek in Langtang National Park. The Ganja La Chuli Peak climbing trip is closely connected with the Langtang Valley Trek. The trail to Ganja La Chuli passes through oak and rhododendron forests within the national park.

The Ganja La Chuli climbing package offers breathtaking views of the local geography and landscape. From the summit, climbers are rewarded with panoramic vistas of Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Lenpo Gang (7,083m), Dorje Lakpa (6,990m), Langtang II (6,571m), the mighty Mt. Shishapangma (8,013m), and the Ganesh Himal range. The northeast ridge, which follows a line over a rocky glacier, is the most popular route to the summit. A climb to Ganja La Chuli, combined with a visit to Langtang Valley and Kyanjin Monastery, is an excellent way to acclimatize. The standard route to the top follows the snowy northeast ridge. While most of the climb is straightforward, there is one moderately steep section (40 to 55 degrees) where belaying is required.
