Nangpa-La High Passes Trekking is a lesser-traveled adventure that takes you deep into the remote Khumbu region of Nepal. This trek offers stunning views of towering Himalayan peaks, including Pasang Lhamu Chuli (Jasemba – 7,350m) and Cho Oyu (8,201m), located on the border between Nepal and China (Tibet). In addition to these majestic mountains, more than 50 other peaks rising above 6,000 meters stretch out from Nangpa La Pass where the Mahalangur section of the Himalayas begins southwest to the Tamakoshi River. As you trek through traditional Sherpa villages like Namche Bazar, Mende, Thame, and Lunden, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Sherpa culture and traditions—and, of course, feel their legendary warmth and hospitality. The Sherpa people are known for their contagious smiles and generous spirit.
The Nangpa-La High Passes Trek is physically demanding and will challenge your fitness, making prior preparation essential. Being well-prepared not only makes the journey less strenuous but also far more enjoyable. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trekking at evening.
Day 03: Flight Kathmandu/Ramechhap to Lukla (2,860m), trek to Phakding (2,610m). O/N at T. Lodge.
Day 04: Phakding Village - Namche Bazar (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Rest day for acclimatization and hiking to Hotel Everest View (3,880m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Namche Bazar - Thame Village (3,820m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Thame Village - Lungden (Lumde - 4,380m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Lungden – Sumnag Phug (4,915m). O/N at Camping.
Day 09: Sumna Phug – Lunak Dharmashala (5,090m) - Kangchung (Gauteya - 5,250m). O/N at Camping.
Day 10: Day hike to Nangpa-La Pass (Nepal-China border - 5,716m), back to Kangchung. O/N at Camp.
Day 11: Trek back from Kangchung – Lungden (4,380m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 12: Lungden – Thame Village. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 13: Thame Village – Namche Bazar (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 14: Namche Bazar – Phakding Village and rest (2,610m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 15: Phakding Village - Lukla Bazar (2,860m) then transfer to Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Flight from Lukla – Kathmandu or, Ramechhap then drive, transfers to Hotel.
Day 17: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 18: Last minute transfers to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Day 10: Sumna Phug – Lunak Dharmashala (5,090m) - Kangchung (Gauteya - 5,250m). O/N at Camping.
Day 11: Day hike to Nangpa-La Pass (Nepal-China border - 5,716m), back to Kangchung. O/N at Camp.
Day 12: Trek back from Kangchung – Lungden (Lumde - 4,380m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 13: Lungden – ascent Renjo La Pass (5,360m) – Gokyo Lake (4,790m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 14: Gokyo – Gokyo Ri Peak (5,360m.) – Gokyo Lake. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 15: Gokyo Lake – Dole Village (4,200m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 16: Dole Village – Namche Bazar (3,440m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 17: Namche Bazar – Phakding Village and rest (2,610m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 18: Phakding Village – Lukla Bazar (2,860m) then transfer to Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 19: Flight from Lukla – Kathmandu or, Ramechhap then drive, transfers to Hotel.
Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
