Lapchi Kang Trek – A Journey Into Nepal’s Hidden Sanctuary
Lapchi Kang Trek takes you deep into one of Nepal’s most remote and spiritually rich regions, nestled near the Tibetan border. Tucked between the road to Tibet and the Rolwaling Himal Valley, this secluded trail winds through high-altitude landscapes, cloud forests, bamboo groves, and untouched alpine wilderness. This sacred region is home to the Milarepa Cave, where the great Tibetan yogi, poet, and mystic Milarepa meditated for years. His legacy is deeply embedded in the land through sacred footprints, miraculous tales, and a revered bronze statue in the cave. The area remains a significant Buddhist pilgrimage site and a symbol of peace and enlightenment.
Lapchi Kang is also a haven for biodiversity. The dramatic terrain between Ama Bamare Himal and Lapchi Kharka marked by cliffs, rock spires, and hidden valleys provides ideal habitat for snow leopards and other wildlife. Along the trail, ancient monasteries and serene mountain vistas add to the spiritual depth of the journey. Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu, preparation and briefing about trekking at evening.
Day 03: Jeep or, Bus drive to Lamabagar (1,987m) transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Lamabagar – Jum Khola - Lumnang Village (2,900m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Lumnang Village - Lapchi Village (3,379m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Day hike Lapchi Sephuk Cave (Milarepa Cave - 4,600m) for explore Himalayas. O/N at T. Lodge.
Day 07: Day hike to Ramding Namgoma (border between Nepal and China (4,500m). O/N at T. Lodge.
Day 08: Day visit Lapchi Renchen Gompa and Lapchi Monastery. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 09: Explore Lapchi Gumba and trek back to Lumnang Village. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 10: Lumnang Village - Lamabagar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 11: Bus drive from Lamabagar to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 12: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 13: Last minute transfers to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Day 09: Trek from High Alpine Lakes – Kharka Ground (3,424m). O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 10: Kharka Ground – King Dog Ridge Pass (3,386m) – King Dog Kharka (2,800m). O/N at T. Lodge/Camping.
Day 11: King Dog Kharka exploration day. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 12: Trek ascent from King Dog Kharka – Samling Village. O/N at Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 13: Samling Village – Lamabagar. O/N at Teahouse Lodge.
Day 14: Bus drive from Lamabagar to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 15: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
