Trekkers can also explore many smaller peaks and scenic landscapes.
Trekking in Nepal offers a unique adventure through the magnificent Himalayan environment under the guidance of experienced trekking professionals. Along the route, visitors pass through villages inhabited by multi-ethnic communities and experience their rich culture and traditions.
Most of the crew members of Cultural Treks & Expedition are from the Ruby Valley trekking region. Therefore, they possess extensive knowledge about the area’s unique terrain, culture, and traditions, which is highly beneficial for trekkers. The trek can be divided into two major highlights: the panoramic views of the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu mountain ranges, and the cultural exploration of local communities. Trekkers can also witness the twin waterfalls of Ganga and Jamuna and observe the distinctive lifestyles of the Tamang, Gurung, Chhetri, Brahmin, and other ethnic groups.
The Ruby Valley Trek begins from Syabrubesi after a drive from Kathmandu. The trekking route passes through the districts of Nuwakot, Rasuwa, Dhading, and Kathmandu. The best time for the Ruby Valley Trek is during March and April, when the forests are beautifully covered with blooming rhododendrons, creating vibrant red landscapes. Besides its natural beauty, the trek also offers opportunities to explore monasteries, ponds, diverse flora and fauna, terraced farmlands, mineral mines, and various bird species. Trekkers may also spot endangered wildlife such as Himalayan Thar, deer, red pandas (rarely seen), snow leopards, and monkeys.
This remote trekking region offers an enchanting blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. Trekking with authentic local crew members from the area provides visitors with a genuine cultural experience through Cultural Treks & Expedition.
