Trip Overview

Gatlang Village and Langtang trek known as "Tamang Heritage Trek" is Northern part of the Rasuwa District Nepal. The pristine Tamang Heritage Trail is a recently unearthed trekking trail amid the vivid Tamang heritage. The Langtang Valley Trek pursues the trail that traverses the awe-inspiring Langtang valley overfilled with the hospitality of the good-natured Tamang communities. When combined, these two trekking trails bestow an adventurous trekking experience with detailed insight into the elementary and traditional lifestyles of native Tamang people. Additionally, the exquisite panoramic outlooks of the snow-capped mountain peaks along the trekking trail stun the trekkers frequently. This phenomenal region is exhilarating, culturally rich, and traditionally mesmerizing. Located nearby the Kathmandu Valley, the area can be easily accessible from the capital city.

Gatlang Village with Langtang Trek along this region grants an escapade to alleviating hot spring alongside the glimpses of charming villages, terraced fields, and peaceful valleys. Furthermore, with exquisite local architecture, the delighted trekkers tend to praise the classic craftsmanship visible in residential stone houses, local forts, and monasteries en route. The adventure sets in motion with the trekkers following the trail that begins from Syabrubesi. Resuming the trek, we proceed from Syabrubesi to Gatlang Village, then to Tatopani, where we can enjoy the relaxing natural hot springs. Afterward, the trail goes to the beautiful Tamang village of Briddim via Nagthali – Thuman, where we get acquainted with Himalayan culture in the form of Home-Stay. After that, we trek back to Syabrubensi, from where we advance to Lama Hotel. Subsequently, we move across yak pasture land and forest around Ghodatabela, where the shy Red Panda resides.

Finally, we arrive at the elegant Langtang Village. Then, we trek to Kyanjing Gompa. Here, we’ll range over the region and climb up to Kyanjing Ri or Tserko Ri for spectacular Himalayan views. From this point onwards, we descend back to Lama Hotel and eventually make our way to Syabrubesi and next, head back to Kathmandu with a joyful heart where this trek will end.
