Mt. Sita Chuchura 6,611 meter is located very closed to Dhaulagiri Himalayan range and it is not far from the French Pass from where people do the trek crossing the passes. This peak was successfully climbed only 4 times and the first ascent was done by a Japanese expedition - Masahiko Takahashi, Hiroshi Harada, Nobuyki Hirato and Phurba Kitar Sherpa on October 26, 1970 and last time was in 1995. Mount Sita Chuchura expedition can be done within 21 days via Jomsom side and 30 days Dhaulagiri French Pass including Kathmandu stay. Sita Chuchura is a beautiful mountain for mountaineering activities, which always attract the mountain voyager to climb, which start from Pokhara and Beni Bazar to the Sita Chuchura Base Camp and finish at Jomsom from where we can take flight back to Pokhara nd drive to Kathmandu.

Expedition Itinerary: via Jomsom - Spring

12 April - Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
13 April - Day 02: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
14 April - Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (915m.) then transfer to Hotel.
15 April - Day 04: Flight Pokhara - Jomsom (2,700m.) Overnight at a Lodge.
16 April - Day 05: Jomsom - Yak Kharka (3,900m.) Tented Camp
17 April - Day 06: Trek to the Hidden Valley Base Camp (5000m.).
18 April - Day 07: Set up camp  and acclimatization at Base Camp ((5,500m.).
19 April - Day 08: Preparation day for climbing.
20 April - Day 09: Sita Chuchura Base Camp - Camp 1 (5,500 - 6000m.).
21 April - Day 10: Sita Chuchura Camp 1 (6000m.) to Base Camp.
22 April - Day 11: Base Camp rest day.
23 April - Day 12: Climbing Period; Sita Chuchura Base Camp - Camp 1 (6000m.).
24 April - Day 13: Camp 1 - Camp 2 (6,100m.).
25 April - Day 14: Ascent to Sita Chuchura (6,611m.) Summit, return to Camp 2.
26 April - Day 15: Sita Chuchura Camp 2 - Base Camp.
27 April - Day 16: Reserve day.
28 April - Day 17: Clean up Base Camp and trek back to Yak Kharka.
29 April - Day 18: Yak Kharka – Jomsom Bazar then transfer to Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
30 April - Day 19: Fly to Pokhara and Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
01 May - Day 20: Free in Kathmandu, D-briefing and rest, farewell dinner at evening.
02 May - Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

07 November - Day 15: Sita Chuchura Camp 2 - Base Camp.
08 November - Day 16: Reserve day.

Service Includes up to Base Camp

  • All land transportation by Car, Van, Hiace or, tourist Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up and drop).
  • 5 Nights Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu at 3 star Hotel on Bed & Breakfast plan (before and after expedition).
  • Transport of food supply and expedition equipments to Base Camp and back.
  • Full board in lodges during trekking to base camp and back.
  • Base Camp single sleeping tent and Mattress for each member, BC staffs and Liaison officer.
  • All kitchen tent, store tent, dining tents, toilet tent, table, chairs and cooking utensils for Base Camp.
  • Food and fuel at Base Camp.
  • Service of Government Liaison officer.
  • Service of cook and kitchen boy at Base Camp.
  • Equipments allowance, daily wages of cook, kitchen boys and Liaison officer.
  • Insurance of cook, kitchen boys, Liaison officer and porters.
  • Expedition Permit fee of Mt. Sita Chuchura.
  • National Park Permits (ACAP entrance fee).
  • Domestic Air Ticket: Jomsom/Pokhara/Kathmandu with domestic airport tax.
  • Per Person 40 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels allowed for expedition till Base Camp.
  • Per Person 30 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels is allowed for returned to Kathmandu.
  • 2 Expedition duffel bag or barrel for each member.
  • Generator or Solar panel at Base Camp for light and charging.
  • Sat Phone available at Base Camp, but nominal charge for use.
  • 1 Set of Cultural Treks Piosk Oxygen bottle with mask and regulator will be in base camp in case of an emergency.
  • Visa extension fee.
  • Agency service charge.

Service does not include

  • International airfare from/to your country.
  • Nepal entry visa fee (can be obtained at the airport at upon arrival).
  • Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu and Pokhara.
  • Hotel after 5 night stay in Kathmandu.
  • Personal climbing gear and equipment above Base Camp.
  • High Tents above Base Camp.
  • High altitude food and fuel above Base Camp.
  • Piosk Oxygen bottle with Mask and regulator (will be provided as per request).
  • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, medical, emergency evacuation and lost luggage.
  • Applicable permit fees and customs charges, etc. for SAT phone, Walkie-Talkies, Communication equipment and commercial filming.
  • International airport departure tax at Kathmandu Airport.
  • Expenses of personal nature such as drinks, laundry, postage, telephone etc.
  • Tips and bonuses.
  • Garbage deposit.

Expedition service up to Summit

Expedition service does not include

Extra Cost for High Altitude Climbing Sherpa: USD 1900 for group sharing basis (if required by client)

  • We will provide you the expedition cost as per your size of group or, as per your requirement for the expedition service. We request you to e-mail us or, use "Book Expedition" form for send us your message.
  • Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food & fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.
  • Hiring a high altitude Sherpa cost includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance, flight from Jomsom/Pokhara/Kathmandu and sleeping tents at BC etc.

Summit Bonus: Camp 6000m. = USD 500 and over 6000m. to summit = USD 200 = 700 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.
