Saribung Peak (6,387m.) lies in the isolated in Damodar Himal as well as near Damodar Kunda and closed to border of Tibet and Nepal. Saribung Peak climbing is ideal Mountain for those who wish to get off the beaten track of Lo-Manthang which is recently introduced. Till date, only a few of climbers have reached to the summit of this Peak. This peak is a technical climbing though considered to be a challenging expedition due to altitude variation and remoteness of the area. Stretched dry rugged terrain and glacier travel mode for the most part with at the most a couple of sections of fixed line requiring the use of a jumar and other climbing gears. The route initially follows the Upper Mustang Trek to Lo-Manthang and Lury Gompa before heading off into the wilds of Namta Khola valley.

Saribung peak is an easy climb for those who have already summited a 6000m or above peak. The approach to Saribung peak climbing has a few high passes between the Lomangthang- Damodar Kunda. The caravan route begins with a 6 hour drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, from Pokhara you fly 20 minutes to the Annapurna region and into the village of Jomsom. The trail goes up to Lo-Manthang via Kagbeni, Chele, Charang. After you explore around the Lo-manthang and Luri Gompa or cave monastery you will continue to visit a region that offers great scenery, culture, religion and geographical variations. During the trekking, trekkers meet different villages, monasteries, cultures and religions of the Tibetan people. After ascending from the peak summit, we will continue trek to Nar Phu valley in Manang district and drive back to Kathmandu via Besi shahar.
