Mt. Langtang Lirung is one of the well-known over 7,000m. peak which located on the center north of Nepal and near to Tibet border a head of Langtang village and it stretches to southwest of Mount Shishapangma 8,027 meter. Mt. Langtang Lirung is very beautiful and excellent massif view of Langtang himal range. Langtang Himalayan range which forms its east portion, the mountains including Jugal Himal that is between the Sun Koshi Valley in the east and Trisuli Gandaki Valley in the west.

The summit attempt by two member of Japanese expedition (Seishi Wada and Pemba Tsering Sherpa) made the first ascent of the mountain via the East Ridge on 24 October 1978. A climber needs a high level of technical climbing skills, good physical condition and previous experience of peak climbing for a successful summit of Langtang Lirung Expedition. Mt. Langtang Lirung offers several climbing routes accessible from Kyanjing Gompa of Langtang Valley. We start our trip from Shyabrubesi (1,462m.), Kyanjing Gompa (3,049m.) to the Base Camp. Mt. Langang Lirung is clearly visible from Kathmandu. It is situated just 35 km as the crow fly distance north of Kathmandu. Nepal is a Himalayan country where hundreds of Peaks do welcome for those people who wants to adventure in Nepal Himalayas.

Outline Expedition Itinerary: Spring

  • 02 April - Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
    03 April - Day 02: Free days in Kathmandu.
    04 April - Day 03: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
    05 April - Day 04: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,462m.) then Overnight.
    06 April - Day 05: Syabrubesi – Lama Hotel (2,240m.).
    07 April - Day 06: Lama Hotel – Langtang Village (3,307m.).
    08 April - Day 07: Kyanjing Gompa (3,049m).
    09 April - Day 08: Kyanjing Gompa rest for acclimatization day and preparation.
    10 April - Day 09: Langtang Lirung Base Camp and set up the camp.
    11/24 April - Day 10/23: Climbing Period of Mount Langtang Lirung (7,234m.).
    25 April - Day 24: Cleaning up Base Camp and preparation to back Kathmandu.
    26 April - Day 25: Base Camp – Langtang Village.
    27 April - Day 26: Langtang Village – Lama Hotel.
    28 April - Day 27: Lama Hotel – Shyabrubesi and transfer to teahouse Lodge.
    29 April - Day 28: Drive back to Kathmandu then transfers to Hotel.
    30 April - Day 29: Kathmandu free for D-briefing and rest, farewell dinner at evening.
    01 May - Day 30: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

Service Includes up to Base Camp

  • All land transportation by Car,  Toyota Hiace, Local Jeep or, Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up and drop).
  • 5 Nights Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu at 3 star Hotel on Bed & Breakfast plan (before and after expedition).
  • Transport of food supply and expedition equipments to Base Camp and back.
  • Full board in lodges during trekking to base camp and back.
  • Base Camp single sleeping tent, Mattress for each member, Base Camp staffs and Liaison officer.
  • All kitchen tent, store tent, dining tents, toilet tent, table and chairs and cooking utensils for Base Camp.
  • Food and fuel at Base Camp.
  • Service of Government Liaison officer.
  • Service of cook and kitchen boy at Base Camp.
  • Equipments allowance, daily wages of cook, kitchen boys and Liaison officer.
  • Insurance of cook, kitchen boy, Liaison officer and porters.
  • Peak Permit fee of Mt. Langtang Lirung.
  • Langtang National Park permit entrance fee.
  • Per Person 40 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels allowed for expedition till Base Camp.
  • Per Person 30 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels is allowed for returned to Kathmandu.
  • 2 Expedition duffel bag or barrel for each member.
  • Generator or Solar panel at Base Camp for light and charging.
  • Sat Phone available at Base Camp, but nominal charge for use.
  • 1 Set of Cultural Treks Piosk Oxygen bottle with mask and regulator will be in base camp in case of an emergency.
  • Visa extension fee.
  • Garbage deposit fees.
  • Official tax and agency service charge.

  • International airfare from/to your country.
  • Nepal entry visa fee (can be obtained at the airport at upon arrival).
  • Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu.
  • Hotel after 5 night stay in Kathmandu.

Extra Cost for High Altitude Climbing Sherpa: USD 1900 for group sharing basis (if required by client)

  • Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food & fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.
  • Hiring a high altitude Sherpa cost includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance and sleeping tents at BC etc.

Summit Bonus: Camp 7000m. = USD 500 and over 7000m. to summit= USD 400 = 900 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.
