The Milke Danda Trek, also known as the Kanchenjunga Panorama View Trek, is located in the far eastern region of Nepal. This trek follows a long and elevated forest ridge that divides the Arun and Tamor valleys, offering an incredible blend of natural beauty, biodiversity, and panoramic Himalayan views. The journey begins from Tumlingtar, progressing through several days of trekking along the ridge. As you ascend, the trail unveils spectacular views Mount Makalu to the west and Mount Kanchenjunga to the east creating a truly awe-inspiring backdrop.
Unlike more popular trekking routes, Milke Danda remains less frequented by Westerners, preserving its untouched charm. The region is densely forested, featuring rare alpine flora and expansive rhododendron forests. In fact, Milke Danda is renowned for having the highest diversity of rhododendron species in Nepal, with 29 out of the 32 species found here. The trail passes through small, isolated farm villages beyond the main towns of Tumlingtar and Khandbari, gradually climbing toward the higher ridges. Along the way, trekkers are rewarded with ever-changing vistas of the eastern Himalayas and the serene beauty of Nepal’s countryside.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m) meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Day sightseeing: Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath, Patan Durbar square & Hanuman Dhoka. O/N Hotel.
Day 03: Flight to Biratnagar (80m) then drive to Basantpur (2,200m). O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 04: Drive to Gupha Pokhari (Gufa Pokhari - 2,890m) Gupha Bazar (3,000m). O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 05: Guphaa Bazar to Milke Danda (3,124m). O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 06: Rest day at Milke Danda for exploration of the surrounding area. O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Milke Danda - Gupha Pokhari. O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Drive from Gupha Pokhari - Biratnagar (80m). O/N at Hotel.
Day 09: Flight from Biratnagar to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel, farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 10: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey. Final Departure.

Day 06: Trek to Gupha Pokhari (2,890m) 4-5 hrs. O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 07: Trek to Basantapur (2,200m) 5-6 hrs. O/N at Hotel/Teahouse Lodge.
Day 08: Drive to Biratnagar (80m) and flight to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 09: Free day in Kathmandu for rest or shopping, with a farewell dinner in the evening.
