Mt. Tukuche peak (6,920m) is a one of the beautiful mountain among the Dhaulagiri Himalayas range located in Annapurna Region in front of Dhaulagiri 1st. It is at the northern side one of the wildest Hidden Valley and along with Kaligandaki River flows its bottom. The trekking route follows through Annapurna classic trek and divert from Marpha village to the West, Yak Kharka and path reach to Tukuche Base Camp. It takes about 4/5 days with acclimatization and preparation in the Base Camp to get the summit of this mountain via North East Ridge. First Tukuche ascent was 1969 by Swiss team and total 38 expeditions were tried to climb till 2007, there are 19 team got successes including 72 climbers. The latest successful expedition team was in autumn 2003 from France on North West Ridge.

A magnificent mountain views and valley will be seen during the trek and from Tukuche expedition. After ascent up to Tukuche peak you can see plenty of mountain ranges such as Annapurna Ranges, Tilicho peak, Mt. Nilgiri and also beautiful Thakali villages of Marpha, Tukuche Village and Jomsom Valley. The journey came to end at Jomsom and then fly back to Pokhara and evening flight to Kathmandu. This expedition is considered to be low risky but technical solo expedition. So, usually most of climber make their own way using only alpine style setting camp 1 and camp 2 (6,100m) via North West ridge to get the summit of Tukuche Peak.

09 April - Day 02: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.

12 April - Day 05: Trek from Marpha Village - Yak Kharka (3,680m - Aalubari). O/N at Camping.
13 April - Day 06: Yak Kharka – Hidden Valley (5,000m). O/N at Camping.

  • Domestic flight Ticket: Kathmandu - Pokhara - Jomsom - Pokhara - Kathmandu including airport taxes and cargo fees.

Tipping System:
Tipping is done on a group-sharing basis by expedition participants. The minimum recommended amounts are:
1. Base Camp Guide & Cook: Min. USD 300 each.
2. BC Kitchen Boys/Helpers: Min. USD 200 each.
3. Porters: Min. USD 50 each.

Note for expedition participants:
Expedition service up to Base Camp: This applies to those who have booked the expedition service - up to Base Camp. The cost does not include the High Altitude (H. A.) Sherpa guide, food and fuel, tents, climbing gear, fixed ropes up to the summit, or the Sherpa’s bonus beyond Advance Base Camp.

Additional Cost for High Altitude Climbing Sherpa: USD 2,100 (If required by client)

The additional cost for a High Altitude Climbing Sherpa (H. A.) includes: Expedition equipment allowance, Personal climbing gears, daily wages, food and fuel from base camp to summit, helicopter rescue coverage, medical expenses, accident insurance for the Sherpa, all ground transportation, domestic flight tickets (Kathmandu–Pokhara–Kathmandu) and a personal sleeping tent at base camp, among other essentials.

Summit Bonus for High Altitude Climbing Sherpa: USD 500 for reaching Camp at 6,000m, plus USD 200 for climbing from 6,000m to the summit - total USD 700. This amount is payable on the spot (ABC) by the climbing member and applies only to those climber who purchase expedition services - up to summit.
