Mt. Tukuche peak (6,920m.) is a one of the beautiful mountain among the Dhaulagiri Himalayas range located in Annapurna Region in front of Dhaulagiri 1st. It is at the northern side one of the wildest Hidden Valley and along with Kaligandaki River flows its bottom. The trekking route follows through Annapurna classic trek and divert from Marpha village to the West, Yak Kharka and path reach to Tukuche Base Camp. It takes about 4/5 days with acclimatization and preparation in the Base Camp to get the summit of this mountain via North East Ridge. First Tukuche ascent was 1969 by Swiss team and total 38 expeditions were tried to climb till 2007, there are 19 team got successes including 72 climbers. The latest successful expedition team was in autumn 2003 from France on North West Ridge.

A magnificent mountain views and valley will be seen during the trek and from Tukuche expedition. After ascent up to Tukuche peak you can see plenty of mountain ranges such as Annapurna Ranges, Tilicho peak, Mt. Nilgiri and also beautiful Thakali villages of Marpha, Tukuche Village and Jomsom Valley. The journey came to end at Jomsom and then fly back to Pokhara and evening flight to Kathmandu. This expedition is considered to be low risky but technical solo expedition. So, usually most of climber make their own way using only alpine style setting camp 1 and camp 2 (6,100m.) via North West ridge to get the summit of Tukuche Peak.

Outline Expedition Itinerary: A via Jomsom

01 October Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport (1,350m.), meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
02 October Day 02: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
03 October Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (915m.) then transfer to Hotel.
04 October Day 04: Drive/Flight - Jomsom (2,700m.) Overnight at a Lodge.
05 October Day 05: Marpha Village/Jomsom – Yak Kharka (3,680m. - Aalubari)
06 October Day 06: Yak Kharka – Hidden Valley (5,000m.).
07 October Day 07: Hidden Valley – Tukuche peak Base Camp.
08 - 19 October Day 08 – 19: Climbing period for Mt. Tukuche Peak (6,920m.).
20 October Day 20: Clean up Base Camp and trek back to Yak Kharka.
21 October Day 21: Yak Kharka – Jomsom (2,713m.) then transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
22 October Day 22: Jomsom – Pokhara by flight then transfer to Hotel.
23 October Day 23: Pokhara – Kathmandu by flight then transfer to Hotel.
24 October Day 24: Kathmandu free for D-briefing and rest, farewell dinner at evening.
25 October Day 25: Last minute, transfers to airport for your onward journey.

05 October Day 05: Darbang - Sibang (1,780m.).
06 October Day 06: Sibang - Boghara (2,080m. - Bagar).
07 October Day 07: Boghara - Dobang (2,520m. - Dovan Kharka).
08 October Day 08: Dobang - Chartare (3,445m. - Chaur Bag Khola Camp).
09 October Day 09: Chartare - Japanese Base Camp (3,890m.).

28 October Day 28: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
29 October Day 29: Kathmandu free for D-briefing and rest, farewell dinner at evening.
30 October Day 30: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

Service Includes up to Base Camp

All land transportation by Car, Van, Toyota Hiace, Tourist Bus, Local Jeep or, Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up and drop).
4 Nights Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu at Hotel Thamel and 2 Night in Pokhara on Bed and Breakfast plan (before and after expedition).

Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food and fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.

Hiring a high altitude Sherpa cost includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance, flight from Jomsom to Pokhara and sleeping tents at BC etc.

Summit Bonus: Camp 6000m. = USD 500 and over 6000m. to summit= USD 200 = 700 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.
