Mt. Lho La peak is known as Khumbutse Peak 6,036 meter is the first mountain to the west of Everest, located between Nepal and Tibet border and near to Changtse or Everest Base Camp at Khumbu Region as well as this is a regular avalanche spot and would appear to be very close to the route between Everest Base Camp and the Ice Fall. Best months for climbing is September and October. In comparison with Everest it is nothing, but in itself it is a nice peak. To the west are two other mountains: Lingtren and Pumori. Though the mountain has steep sides on all sides it is for a large part covered in snow and ice. Trekking and climbing groups on the Lho La pass frequently report avalanches on this mountain. Dutch climber Bart Vos ascended this mountain for the first time in 1993, according to one of his books.

03 April - Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu, meet our staff then transfer to Hotel.
04 April - Day 02: Official work for expedition and briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
05 April - Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2,800m.) then trek to Phakding (2,652m.).
06 April - Day 04: Phakding to Namche Bazar (3,446m.).
07 April - Day 05: Rest day for hiking to Everest views Hotel for acclimatization.       
08 April - Day 06: Namche Bazar - Tengboche (3867m.).
09 April - Day 07: Tengboche - Dingboche (4,252m.).
10 April - Day 08: Dingboche - Lobuche (4,930m.).    
11 April - Day 09: Lobuche - Gorakshep (5,140m.).
12 April - Day 10: Goraksep - Lho- La Peak Base Camp Set up camp (5,245m.).
13 April - Day 11: Lho-La Base camp for preparation.
14/16 April - Day 12/14: Climbing Perioud for Lho-La Peak (6,036m.).
17 April - Day 15: Clean Lho-La Base camp and trek back to Lobuche.
18 April - Day 16: Lobuche - Pangboche.
19 April - Day 17: Pangboche - Namache Bazar.
20 April - Day 18: Namache - Lukla then transfer to Teahouse Lodge.
21 April - Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
22 April  - Day 20: Kathmandu free for D-briefing and rest, farewell dinner at evening.
23 April - Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

Service Includes up to Base Camp

  • All land transportation by Car, Van or, Toyota Hiace (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up and drop).
  • 4 Nights Accommodation in Kathmandu at a tourist class Hotel on bed & breakfast plan as per given itinerary.
  • Transport as per itinerary for members, staff and Liaison officer.
  • Transportation of all food and climbing equipments to base camp and back.
  • Expedition permit for Lho-la Peak.
  • Full board basis during the trekking.
  • All kitchen equipments; kitchen tent, dining tent, toilet tent, shower tent, chairs and tables at the base camp.
  • Cook and Kitchen boys at the base camp.
  • Base camp tents for members and staff.
  • Equipment allowance, wages, insurance for Base Camp staff and Liaison officer.
  • Per Person 30 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels allowed for expedition till Base Camp.
  • Per Person 20 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels is allowed for returned to Kathmandu.
  • Khumbu area entrance and Sagarmatha National Park entrance fee.
  • Air fare: Kathmandu/Lukla/Kthmandu and domestic airport tax with Cargo fees.
  • Satellite phone (Pay calls).
  • Visa extension.
  • 1 Set of Cultural Treks Piosk Oxygen bottle with mask and regulator will be in base camp in case of an emergency.
  • Insurance for Nepalese staff and peak garbage deposit.
  • Garbage deposit fees.
  • Official tax and agency service charge.

Service does not include

  • Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu.
  • Airfare from/to your country.
  • Nepal entry visa fee. (Can be obtained at the airport upon arrival).
  • Hotel after 5 nights stay in Kathmandu.
  • Service above Base Camp.
  • Drinks except tea and coffee.
  • Personal climbing gear and equipment above base camp.
  • Applicable permit fees and customs charges, etc. for SAT phone, Walkie-Talkies, Communication equipment and commercial filming.
  • Climbing Guide (Sherpa).
  • Piosk Oxygen bottle with Mask and regulator on request..
  • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, medical and emergency evacuation.
  • Nepal custom duty for import of expedition goods arriving to Nepal by air or road.
  • Expenses of personal nature such as drinks, laundry, postage, telephone, etc.
  • International airport departure tax and tourist tax.
  • Tips and summit bonus.

Expedition service up to Summit

Expedition service does not include

Extra Cost for High Altitude Climbing Sherpa: USD 700 for group sharing basis (if required by client)

Note:

  • We will provide you the expedition cost as per your size of group or, as per your requirement for the expedition service. We request you to e-mail us or, use "Book Expedition" form for send us your message.
  • Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food & fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.
  • Hiring a high altitude Sherpa cost includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance, flight to and from Kathmandu and sleeping tents at BC etc.

Summit Bonus: Camp 6000m. = USD 500 summit = 500 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.
