Trip Overview

Naya Kanga Peak (5863m.) is known as Ganja La Chuli is the fabulous looking peak to the south of Kyangjin Gompa, the destination village of the popular Langtang Trek in the Langtang National Park. The Naya Kanga Peak climbing trip is connected with the Langtang Valley Trekking. The Nayakang climbing trail goes through the Oak and rhododendron forest of the Langtang National Park.

Naya Kanga climbing package offers the wonderful views of the local geography and landscape. From the top of Naya Kanga, the views of Lantang Lirung (7,234m.), Lenpo Gang (7083m.), Dorje Lakpa (6990m.), Langtang II (6571m.), mighty Shishapangma (8013m.) and Ganesh Himal range are the awesome. The north east ridge over a line of a rocky glacier is a popular route to summit the Naya Kanga. Trip to Naya Kanga climbing in the Langtang Valley and Kyanjin Monastery is a best way to acclimatize. The normal route to the summit is via the snowy north-east ridge. Much of the climb is straightforward, but there is one fairly steep section on 40 to 55 degree snow where belaying is necessary.
