Trip Overview

Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Pass Trekking is one of virgin trekking trails in the country and is one of the frequently organized trekking trails in Rolwaling region. It is one of the challenging trekking trails, as the trail goes through the remote parts namely Rolwaling valley and Khumbu valley, where you will have an opportunity to have stunning views of mountains namely of Mt. Gaurishanker, Jugal Himal, Rolwaling Himalaya range, Mt. Everest and range of other Himalayas in the region such as Chobabhamre, Pharchamo Peak (6279m.) and also explore the diverse flora and fauna, blend of local cultures, Buddhist monastery and Tso Rolpa Lake. Tashi Laptsa Pass converts it into a trading route between the Rolwaling and Everest regions. Ramdung Peak, Pharchamo Peak, and Melungste are among the well-known hiking peaks. It’s ideal from both aspects since you’ll be able to enjoy isolated Rolwaling valley. Also, visit the exceptional and famous Khumbu valley and parts of the Everest base camp trek.

The Tashi Lapcha Pass Trek is one of the most difficult treks because it’s owing to the rockfall and requires to walk many days along the beautiful glacier. A peak climbing permit of Pharchamo is required while trekking to the Tashi Lapcha pass. The trekker should be well equipped for iceberg and ice works and have a strong understanding of ice handling. The Tashi Lapcha pass trek is not only difficult but also a wilderness expedition. The Tashi Laptsa Pass trek offers a slightly different experience but equally splendid views of the high Himalayas. The best time to tour in this region in the spring and autumn season, but we can arrange for all the year upon request on a tea house lodge or camping basis.

Rolwalling valley Tashi Lapcha Pass Trekking begins with drive from Kathmandu either to Barabise or Dolakha then the trail continues to Surya Dovan, gongar, Simi gaun takes you to Rollwaling valley, one of the most remote, mysterious, and fascinating place, making an excursion around exploring the scenic views of the mountains namely of Mt. Gaurishankar Mt. Melungtse (7,181m. on border), Ramdung Go Peak you will pass Beding village and Na Gaun then you will ascend up to Tso Rolpa continuning to Tashi Lapcha pass ((5,793m.) descending down to Thame and then Namche Bazar and to Lukla then subsequently fly back to Kathmandu.
