Although physically very demanding on account of the altitude, the climb on Mera Peak is not technically difficult as ascending snow slopes rarely exceed 40 degrees. The only qualification you need to ascend Mera peak is your excellent physical fitness and an extrovert sense of adventure. Our Mera peak itinerary has been carefully designed to allow gradual acclimatization for the climbers. The walk in initially through the virgin forest of the Hinku Valley is incredibly beautiful and provides excellent acclimatization for the peak itself. Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu (1300m./4264ft) airport then transfer to Hotel.
Day 02: Fly to Lukla/trek to Paiya (2730m./8954ft) 3/4 hrs.
Day 03: Paiya - Pangkongma (2850m./93,48ft). 5-6 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 04: Pangkongma - Nigmsa (2745m./90,003ft) 4-5 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 05: Nigmsa (Shibuche) - Chhetrakhola (3150m./10332ft) 7-8 hrs.
Day 06: Chhetrakhola - Kothe (3600m./11808ft) 6-7 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 07: Kothe - Tangnang (4,350m./14,270ft) 3-4 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 08: Acclimatization day: Hiking to Charpate glacier. O/N at Lodge
Day 09: Tangnang - Khare (5,045m./16,486ft) 2-3 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 10: Khare-Mera Base Camp (5300m./17,384ft) 3/4 hrs.
Day 11: Mera Base Camp - High Camp (5,780m./18,958ft) 4-5 hrs.
Day 12: High Camp - Summit (6,461m./21,1907ft) / back to Khare.
Day 13: Reserve day for contingency. O/N at Tented Camp
Day 14: Khare - Kothe (3600m./11808ft) 4-5 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 15: Kothe - Thuli Kharka. 5-6 hrs. O/N at Lodge
Day 16: Thuli Kharka -Zatrwa-La Pass 4610m. - Lukla. O/N at Lodge
Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 18: Kathmandu Free.
Day 19: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Teahouse Trek Cost Includes:

  • Land transportation by Car, Van, Hiace, tourist & local Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport & trekking pick up & drop).
  • 3 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed & Breakfast basis.
  • 3 Major meals; B/L/D (by Lodge menu) and accommodation; twin sharing bed room at best available teahouse lodge en-route, tented camp at Base Camp.
  • Twin sharing North Face brand tent, dining tent, Kitchen tent, staff tent, Kitchen utensil etc.)
  • 1 English speaking equipped, professional trekking + climbing guide, Cook, Kitchen boys and necessary Porter. (1 Porter between two member).
  • Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages.

  • Per member 15 Kg. luggage allow while in the trekking.
  • Peak Permits, Khumbu area entrance permit, Sagarmatha National Park permits fees and garbage deposit.
