Mt. Kula Kangri (7538m.) located between Tibet and Bhutan border and is the most beautiful glacier snow mountain in Luoza County. The firm to the hillside not long, the sky suddenly opened, the blue sky under the white clouds folded the three gods lake shimmered and reappeared, Kula Kangri exposed its beautiful appearance, it seems that the most beautiful scenery can heal everything.

Our approach from Lhasa to the peak takes two days by drive to get the Base camp of Mt. Kula Kangri. This mountain is considered a holy, and is a pilgrimage destination especially for Tibetans people and Buddhist. Mt. Kula Kangri is surrounded by a series of 6000 to 7000 meter high peaks all of which remain unclimbed. The first ascent was by a combined Japanese and Chinese team in April 21, 1986 (Kazumasa Hira, J. Sakamoto, H. Ozaki, E. Ohtani, C. Itani). The mountain occupies two ranges, the Himalaya and the Bhutan Himalaya.

Mt. Kula Kangri offers many possibilities for new routes for mountain climbing seekers. Cultural Treks always welcome for those climbers who like to climb new virgin mountains from Tibet side.

April 13 - Day 02: Day for Tibet visa procedure.
April 14 - Day 03: Free in Kathmandu.
April 15 - Day 04: Fly to Lhasa (3,650m.), meet our staff and transfer to Hotel.
April 16 - Day 05: Sightseeing: Lhasa, Drepung, Sera and Norbu Lingka monasteries.
April 17 - Day 06: Sightseeing in Lhasa, Potala Palace, Jokhang and Barkhor market.
April 18 - Day 07: Drive to Kula Kangri Base Camp (4500m.) 350Km.
April 19/21 - Day 08/10: Stay at Base Camp for acclimatization.
April 22/May 12-  Day 11/31: Kula Kangri (7,538m.) Climbing Period.
May 13 - Day 32: Trek Back to Base Camp.
May 14 - Day 33: Drive to Shigatse.
May 15 - Day 34: Drive to Kyirong border. O/N at Kyirong.
May 16 - Day 35: Drive back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
May 17 - Day 36: Free day in Kathmandu.
May 18 - Day 37: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

Service Includes up to Base Camp

  • All land transportation by Van, Land Cruiser, Jeep, Hiace or, Mini Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up and drop).
  • Accommodation in Kathmandu for 5 nights at bed and breakfast basis.
  • Tibet visa fee.
  • Road permit and travel permit.
  • Expedition Permit fee of Mt. Kula Kangri.

Hiring High Altitude Climbing Sherpa (Guide): USD 6,400 Per Sherpa (If required by Member)

Note:

  • We will provide you the expedition cost as per your size of group or, as per your requirement for the expedition service. We request you to e-mail us or, use "Book Expedition" form for send us your message.
  • Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food and fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.
  • Hiring a high altitude Sherpa does cost USD 6,400 includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance,and sleeping tents at up to advance BC etc.

Summit Bonus: Camp 7000m. = USD 500 and over 7000m. to summit= USD 500 = 1000 USD extra payable for climbing Sherpa on the spot.
