Mt. Churen HimalMt. Churen Himal located in western part of Nepal and it is a part of Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve area at Jaljala. This area is completely apart from the beaten paths, beside expedition there are many trekkers visit this area and it is for the person who love the beauty of nature and the wild wide valleys of course spectacular view of Dhaulagiri and its range, Annapurna, Gurja Himal, Churen Himal.

 

Mt. Churen Himal Base CampChuren Himal trekking and expedition offers an opportunity to discover areas which remain practically an Individual lifestyle. In Churen Himal you will have a chance to trek into the massif of the Dhorpatan hills at about 3000-4300m. This area is full of rivers and fast glacial streams and lake, lots of forest and animals. Our route crosses very nice Chhetri, Magar and Chhantyal villages, especially Gurjagaon is very good majority of Chhantyal people. Drive from Kathmandu to Beni Bazaar and will have overnight there and our staff will lead you to the foot of Churen Himal Base Camp ahead.

Expedition Itinerary:

  • Hotel/Lodges/Camping
  • 34 Days Trek/Climbing
  • Food: Included except main meals in Kathmandu & Pokhara
  • Accommodation: 5 Nights Kathmandu and 33 Nights Camping
  • Recommended Season: Spring, Autumn and Winter


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu free.
Day 03: Official work for expedition & briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
Day 04: Drive to Pokhara 915m. then transfer to Lodge.
Day 05: Drive to Darbang Bazar 1110m.
Day 06: Darbang – Dharapani (1550m.).
Day 07: Dharapani – Mattim (2000m.).
Day 08: Mattim – Lumsung Village (1676m.). Tented Camp
Day 09: Lumsung – Gurja Khani Village (2665m.).
Day 10: Gurja Khani Village– Darsinge Kharka (2945m.)
Day 11: Darsinge Kharka – Bundzunge Kharka (4300m.)
Day 12: Bundzunge Kharka– Churen Himal Base Camp (4600m).
Day 13 – 28: Climbing periods for Churen Himal (7371m.)
Day 29: Clean up Base Camp (Reserve day)
Day 30: Trek back to Bundzunge Kharka.
Day 31: Bundzunge Kharka – Gurja Khani Village.
Day 32: Gurja Khani Village – Lulang village.
Day 33: Lulang – Takum village.
Day 34: Takum – Darbang Bazar.
Day 35: Drive back to Pokhara by local Jeep or Bus then transfer to Hotel.
Day 36: Pokhara free for rest.
Day 37: Pokhara- Kathmandu by tourist Bus then transfer to Hotel.
Day 38: Kathmandu free.
Day 39: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

  • We will provide you the expedition cost as per your size of group or, as per your requirement for the expedition service. We request you to e-mail us or, use "Book Expedition" form for send us your message.
  • Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food & fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.
  • Hiring a high altitude Sherpa does cost USD 1500. This cost includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance, flight to and from Kathmandu, sleeping tents at BC etc…

 

Expedition Service includes:   

  • All land transportation by Car, Van, Toyota Hiace, Tourist Bus, Local Jeep or Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up & drop).
  • 5 Nights Accommodation in Kathmandu at a tourist class Hotel on bed & breakfast plan as per given itinerary.
  • Transport as per itinerary for members, staff & Liaison officer.
  • Transportation of all food and climbing equipments to base camp and back.
  • Churen Himal Peak permit fee.
  • Full board during the trekkingat tentative camp.
  • All kitchen equipments; kitchen tent, dining tent, toilet tent, chairs & tables at the BC.
  • 1 Cook and necessary Kitchen boys at the base camp.
  • Base camp tents for members and staff.
  • Equipment allowance, wages, insurance for base camp staff & Liaison officer.
  • Per Person 40 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels allowed for expedition till Base Camp.
  • Per Person 30 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels is allowed for returned to Kathmandu.
  • Visa extension.
  • National Park Conservation Fee.
  • Satellite phone at BC for minimal charges Pay calls).
  • Helicopter rescue insurance for Nepalese staff.
  • Garbage deposit fees.
  • Official taxes and agency service charge.

 

Service does not include:

  • Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu.
  • Airfare from/to your country.
  • Nepal entry visa fee. (Can be obtained at the airport upon arrival).
  • Hotel after 6 nights stay in Kathmandu.
  • Service above Base Camp.
  • Drinks except tea and coffee.
  • Personal climbing gear and equipment above base camp.
  • Applicable permit fees and customs charges, etc. for SAT phone, Walkie-Talkies, Communication equipment & commercial filming.
  • Climbing guide (Sherpa). 1700 USD if required by member.
  • Emergency Oxygen -Mask and regulator.
  • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, medical and emergency evacuation.
  • Nepal custom duty for import of expedition goods arriving to Nepal by air or road.
  • Expenses of personal nature such as drinks, laundry, postage, telephone, etc.
  • International airport departure tax & tourist tax.
  • Tips and climbing bonus.

 

Summit Bonus: Camp 7000m. = USD 500 & over 7000m. to summit= USD 400 = 900 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.

 

Note for every member:
1. Guest are require to bring 2pcs of passport size new photos and USD 30 for own expenses to apply the Nepal Visa. (15 days 30 USD & above 40 USD Per Person).
2. Nepal visa will issue at your upon arrival in Kathmandu at TIA airport.
3. Passport must have at least 6 months of validity during the entire travelling period.
4. There will be a surcharge of 4% if payment made by Credit Card for trip.

Trip Cancellation Policy:
1. Cancellation must be notified in writing to the office of “Cultural Treks & Expedition”. Cancellation charges shall be levied as follows:
2. More than 15 days before departure: US$ 150 Per Person
3. Less than 15 days before departure: Loss of deposit
4. After starting the trip or trek: No refund Trip cost.
