    Mt. Tukuche Peak ExpeditionMt. Tukuche peak (6920m.) is a one of the beautiful mountain among the Dhaulagiri Himalayas range located in Annapurna Region in front of Dhaulagiri 1st. It is at the northern side one of the wildest Hidden Valley and along with Kaligandaki River flows its bottom. The trekking route follows through Annapurna classic trek and divert from Marpha village to the West, Yak Kharka and  path reach to Tukuche Base Camp. It takes about 4/5 days with acclimatization and preparation in the Base Camp to get the summit of this mountain via North East Ridge. First Tukuche ascent was 1969 by Swiss team and total 38 expeditions were tried to climb till 2007, there are 19 team got successes including 72 climbers. The latest successful expedition team was in autumn 2003 from France on North West Ridge.

     

    Mt. Tukuche Peak ExpeditionA magnificent mountain views and valley will be seen during the trek and from Tukuche expedition. After ascent up to Tukuche peak you can see plenty of mountain ranges such as Annapurna Ranges, Tilicho peak, Mt. Nilgiri and also beautiful Thakali villages of Marpha, Tukuche Village, Syang and Jomsom Valley. The journey came to end at Jomsom and then fly back to Pokhara and  evenng flight to Kathmandu. This expedition is considered to be low risky but technical solo expedition. So, usually most of climber make their own way using only  alpine style  setting camp 1 and camp 2 (6,100m.) via North West ridge to get the summit of Tukuche Peak.

    Day 02: Free, Official work for expedition & briefing at Ministry of Tourism.     
    Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara by tourist Bus then transfer to Hotel.
    Day 04: Early drive to Darbang Village 1110m. O/N    
    Day 05: Darbang - Sibang 1780m.
    Day 06: Sibang - Boghara 2080m. (Bagar)    
    Day 07: Boghara - Dobang 2520m. (Dovan Kharka)     
    Day 08: Dobang - Chartare 3445m. (Chaur Bag Khola Camp)
    Day 09: Chartare - Japanese  Base Camp 3890m.    
    Day 10: Deposit Camp 3940m. Or, Japanese Base Camp - Dhaulagiri BC 4748m.    
    Day 11: Japanese BC - French Pass 5445 - Hidden Valley 5140m. Camp.
    Day 12: Hidden Valley - Tukuche Peak Base Camp.
    Day 13: Rest and preparation day.    
    Day 14 - 24: Climbing period of Tukuche Peak 6920m.
    Day 25: Clean BC - Yak Kharka (Aalubari) via Thapa/Dhampus Pass 5244m.
    Day 26: Yak Kharka - Marpha/Jomsom and transfer to Teahouse lodge
    Day 27: Fly or, drive back to Pokhara and transfer to Hotel.    
    Day 28: Drive back to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
    Day 29: Free day in Kathmandu.
    Day 30: Last minute, transfer to airport for onward journey.

    • Above given cost does not include the climbing Sherpa’s food & fuel, tents, climbing gears and summit bonus above advance base camp.
    • Hiring a high altitude Sherpa does cost USD 1900. This cost includes equipment allowances, daily wages, food and fuel up to base camp, insurance, flight to and from Kathmandu, sleeping tents at BC etc…

    • Nepal entry visa fee (can be obtained at the airport at upon arrival).
    • Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu.
    • Hotel after 4 night stay in Kathmandu.
    • Personal climbing gear and equipment above Base Camp.
    • High Tents above Base Camp.
    • Emergency medical Oxygen at Base Camp.
    • High altitude food and fuel above Base Camp.
    • Oxygen & Mask and regulator (will be provided as per request).
    • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, medical, emergency evacuation and lost luggage.
    • Applicable permit fees and customs charges, etc. for SAT phone, Walkie-Talkies, Communication equipment & commercial filming.
    • International airport departure tax at Kathmandu Airport.
    • High Altitude Climbing Sherpa.
    • Expenses of personal nature such as drinks, laundry, postage, telephone etc.
    • Tips and summit bonus.

    Summit Bonus: Camp 6000m.= USD 500 & over 6000m. to summit = USD 200 = 700 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.


    Note for every member:

    • Guest are require to bring 2pcs of passport size new photos and USD 30 for own expenses to apply the Nepal Visa.
    • Nepal visa will issue at your upon arrival in Kathmandu at TIA airport.
    • Passport  must have at least 6 months of validity during the entire  traveling period.
    • There will be a surcharge of 4% if payment made by Credit Card for trip.


    Trip Cancellation Policy
    Cancellation must be notified in writing to the office of Cultural Treks & Expedition (P.) Ltd. Cancellation charges shall be levied as follows:

    1. Less than 15 days before departure: USD 300 Per Person
    2. More than 15 days before departure: Loss of deposit
    3. After starting the trip or trek: No refund.
