Sita Chuchura Expedition, Jomsom Sita Chuchura, Sita Chuchura summitMt. Sita Chuchura (6611 m) is located in the area of Dhaulagiri not far from the French Pass. This peak was successfully climbed only four times, the first ascent was done in 1970, the last - in 1995. Sita Chuchura expedition can be done within 21 days including Kathmandu and Pokhara stay. This expedition entry and exit point will be Jomsom for mountaineering activities, which always attract the mountain voyager to climb. This expedition also can be done from Beni to Dhaulagiri French Pass route as well.

Expedition Itinerary:

Accommodation: 4 Nights Kathmandu, 1 Night PKR & 15 Nights Lodge/Camping
Recommended Season: Spring, Autumn & Winter

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Official work for expedition & briefing at Ministry of Tourism.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara 915m.  then transfer to Hotel.
Day 04: Flight Pokhara - Jomsom (2700m.) Overnight at a Lodge.
Day 05: Jomsom - Yak Kharka (3900m.) Tented Camp
Day 06: Trek to the Hidden Valley Base Camp (5000m.)
Day 07: Set up camp  and acclimatization at Base Camp
Day 08: Preparation for climbing.
Day 09: Sita Chuchura BC - Camp 1 (5500 - 6000m.).
Day 10: Camp 1 (6000m.) to Base Camp.
Day 11: Base Camp rest day.
Day 12: Climbing Period; Sita Chuchura Base Camp - Camp 1 (6000m.).
Day 13: Camp 1 - Camp 2 (6100m.).
Day 14: Ascent to Sita Chuchura (6611m.) Summit, return to Camp 2.
Day 15 Camp 2 -  Base Camp.
Day 16: Reserve day.
Day 17: Clean up BC and trek back to Yak Kharka.
Day 18: Yak Kharka – Jomsom Bazaar then transfer to Teahouse Lodge/Camping.
Day 19: Fly to Pokhara and Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel.
Day 20: Kathmandu free day.
Day 21: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Service Includes up to Base Camp

  • All land transportation by Car, Van, Toyota Hiace, Tourist Bus, Local Jeep or Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport, expedition pick up & drop).
  • 4 Nights Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu, 1 night at Pokhara on Bed & Breakfast.
  • Transport of food supply and expedition equipments to Base Camp and back.
  • Full board in lodges during trekking to base camp and back.
  • Base Camp single sleeping tent & Mattress for each member and BC staffs.
  • All kitchen tent, store tent, dining tents, toilet tent, table, chairs & cooking utensils for Base Camp.
  • 3 Porter between two member.
  • Food and fuel at Base Camp.
  • Service of cook and kitchen boy at Base Camp.
  • Equipments allowance, daily wages of cook, kitchen boys and their insurance.
  • Expedition Permit fee of Mt. Sita Chuchura.
  • National Park Permits (ACAP entrance fee).
  • Schedule flight: Jomsom/Pokhara/Kathmandu with domestic airport tax.
  • Per Person 25 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels allowed for expedition till Base Camp.
  • Per Person 20 KG. Expedition equipment’s luggage or, barrels is allowed for returned to Kathmandu.
  • 2 Expedition duffel bag or barrel for each member.
  • Solar panel at Base Camp for light and charging.
  • Sat Phone available at Base Camp, but nominal charge for use.
  • Visa extension fee.
  • Garbage deposit fees.
  • Official taxes and agency service charge.

  • International airfare from/to your country.
  • Nepal entry visa fee (can be obtained at the airport at upon arrival).
  • Lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu & Pokhara.
  • Hotel after 5 night stay in Kathmandu.
  • Personal climbing gear and equipment above Base Camp.
  • High Tents above Base Camp.
  • High altitude food and fuel above Base Camp.
  • Oxygen & Mask and regulator (will be provided as per request).
  • Personal insurance such as travel, accident, medical, emergency evacuation & lost luggage.
  • Applicable permit fees and customs charges, etc. for SAT phone, Walkie-Talkies, Communication equipment & commercial filming.
  • International airport departure tax at Kathmandu Airport.
  • Emergency medical Oxygen at Base Camp.
  • Expenses of personal nature such as drinks, laundry, postage, telephone etc.

Summit Bonus: Camp 6000m. = USD 500 & over 6000m. to summit= USD 200 = 700 USD extra payable for per climbing Sherpa on the spot.
