Shivapuri and Nagarkot

(A short Trek (Kathmandu Valley Rim Trek)

This trek is especially for those who have a very short time in Kathmandu but willing to do trek and see how Nepal actually looks like. Although it is so near to Kathmandu a fast growing modern city, it takes you after an hour drive so near to nature immediately exposing a typical rural Nepal with magnificent views of different Himalayan ranges. Few people trek around the Kathmandu valley.  Yet it offers a rich insight into the lives, history, culture and religion, together with the daily toil in the fields of its inhabitants.  The valley rim lies around 1000/2800 m and in the spring offers early flowering rhododendrons and through the autumn and winter, wonderful mountain vistas which can, from certain view-points, stretch from Everest in the east to Annapurna in the west. The trek ends at Changunarayan and we will return back by drive to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur where you can have full rest.

• Accommodation: 5 Nights in Kathmandu & 3 Nights in Camping

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 2: Sightseeing: Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath temple and Patan durbar square with professional English speaking tour guide. 4/5 Hrs.
Day 3: Kathmandu/Budhanilkantha private vehicle then trek to Shivapuri 2732m. 6 hrs.
Day 4:  Shivapuri – Chisapani 2194m. 6 hrs.
Day 5:  Chisapani – Nagarkot.  7 hrs.
Day 6: Nagarkot – Changunarayan trek then drive to KTM via Bhaktapur then transfers to Hotel.
Day 7: Kathmandu free.
Day 8: Last minute, transfers to airport for your final departure.

Camping Trek Cost Includes:

• All land transportation by private vehicle. (Airport /Hotel/Airport & trekking pick up & drop).
• One full day 4/5 hours sightseeing with professional English speaking tour guide with temple entry fees.
• 4 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed & Breakfast basis.
• All 3 major meals Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) and accommodation in tented camp during the trek en-route. (twin sharing North Face tent or, normal trekking tent, dining tent, toilet tent, Kitchen tent, staff tent, Table, chairs and Kitchen utensil etc.).
• One professional English speaking trekking guide, 1 Cook, Kitchen boys, necessary Sherpa and Porters.
