Langtang and Helambu Excursion
An excursion Langtang to Helambu valley with panoramic mountain view.
According to legend, the Langtang Valley was discovered by Lama following runway Yak, hence the name ‘Lang’ is Yak for Tibetan and ‘Tang’ means to follow. Langtang is a narrow Valley that lies just south of Tibet boarder sandwiched between main Himalayan range to the northern and a slightly lower range of snow clad peaks to the south. This high and isolated region is inhabited by people of Tibetan origin, who practice Buddhism. A visit to Langtang Valleys offers an opportunity to explore village as well as to visit glaciers at the head of the valley, same time allowing the local people to live their lives within the Langtang National Park boundary. A perfect harmony between nature and human, high altitude jungles with diverse flora and fauna, scenic lakes and imposing Himalayan peaks like Ganesh Himal, Mt. Langtang Lirung 7,245m., Mt. Dorje Lakpa and Shisa Pangma (Chinese Mountain). There is a large rock at the center of the lake, which said to be the remains of a Shiva shrine.
