Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp

One of the classic routes through the Sherpa heartland to the foot of the world's highest mountain Mt. Everest 8848m.

The Everest Base Camp and Kala Pattar is probably the most famous trekking in the world. This Tea-house lodge-based trek follows in the footsteps of the great climbing parties. Trekking through Sherpa country past cultivated fields and small villages, we follow toward the Dudh Kosi River before the hard walking begins as we climb up to Namche Bazaar. Above the tree-line the scenery is stark but spectacular. The incredible monastery at Thyangboche is a photographer's paradise area, set against the backdrop of Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, Nuptse and other huge, snowcapped peaks. With time for acclimatization en route, our goal is Everest Base Camp on the Khumbu glacier and the opportunity to climb Kala Pattar (5545m.) for a breathtaking view of Pumori, Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02 : Sightseeing: Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath temple and Patan durbar square with professional English speaking tour guide. 4/5 hrs.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla by flight. 2800m. then trek to Phakding (2652m.)
Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar (3440m.)
Day 05: Namche Bazaar rest or Hiking to Khumjung village (3790m.)
Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Thyangboche (3867m.)
Day 07: Thyangboche – Pheriche (4243m.)
Day 08: Pheriche – Lobuche (4930m.)
Day 09: Labuche – Gorakshep (5288m.)
Day 10: Visit Kala Pattar (5545m.) Everest BC (5245m.) and back to Labuche.
Day 11: Lobuche – Dingboche 4530m.
Day 12: Dingboche – Thyangboche.
Day 13: Thyangboche – Namche Bazaar.
Day 14: Namche Bazaar – Lukla and transfer to Hotel.
Day 15: Lukla – Kathmandu by flight & transfers to Hotel.
Day 16: Kathmandu free.
Day 17: Last minute, transfer to Airport for your onward journey.

Tea-house Lodge Trek Cost Includes:
