Everest Base Camp Trek

The classic route through the Sherpa heartland to the foot of the world's highest peaks on Earth.

Mt. Everest (8848m.), there is no greater mountain in world. This lodge-based trek follows in the footsteps of the great climbing parties. Trekking through Sherpa heartland past cultivated fields and small villages, we follow the Dudh Koshi before the hard work begins as we climb up to Namche Bazaar. Above the tree-line the scenery is stark but spectacular and fantastic views. The incredible Buddhist monastery at Thyangboche is a photographer's paradise, set against the backdrop of Mt. Ama Dablam, Everest and other huge, snowcapped peaks. With time for acclimatization en route, our goal is Everest Base Camp on the Khumbu glacier as well as Icefall and the opportunity to climb Kala Pattar (5545m.) for a breathtaking view of Everest, Lhotse and Nuptse. Our descent, surprisingly fast, brings us back to Lukla and our panoramic flight back to Kathmandu.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02 : Sightseeing: Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath temple and Patan durbar square with professional English speaking tour guide. 4/5hrs.
Day 03: Kathmandu – Lukla by flight. (2866m.) then trek to Phakding (2652m.)
Day 04: Phakding – Namche Bazaar. (3440m.)
Day 05: Namche Bazaar rest or Hiking to Khumjung village (3790m.)
Day 06: Namche Bazaar – Thyangboche. (3867m.)
Day 07: Thyangboche – Pheriche (4243m.)
Day 08: Pheriche – Lobuche (4930m.)
Day 09: Labuche – Gorakshep (5288m.)
Day 10: Gorakshep to Kala Pattar (5545m.), Everest BC (5245m.) – Labuche.
Day 11: Lobuche – Dingboche (4530m.)
Day 12: Dingboche – Thyangboche.
Day 13: Thyangboche – Namche Bazaar.
Day 14: Namche Bazaar – Lukla.
Day 15: Lukla – Kathmandu by flight & transfers to Hotel.
Day 16: Kathmandu free.
