Mera Peak Expedition

The highest trekking peak in Nepal and views of four of the world’s five highest mountains

This superb trek takes us away from the more frequented trails, which lead to Everest Base Camp, and over a little used pass to the east, through which we enter the sparsely inhabited Hinku Valley. From here we walk northwards through a beautiful high alpine environment, where Mera Peak, at 6654m. the highest trekking peak in Nepal, towers over the valley. Traversing around to the north, however, we find a softer side to the mountain, and from here it is a non-technical climb which anyone with ice-axe and crampon experience can attempt.

If you’ve acclimatized well, and have strong lungs and plenty of willpower, you can reach the summit of this beautiful Himalayan peak and obtain views that encompass four of the five highest mountains on earth standing proud over hundreds of lesser ones, many still unnamed and unclimbed.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff & transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Free and officially briefing for the expedition
Day 03: Fly to Lukla (2866m.) & trek to Chutanga 2835m. O/N at Camp
Day 04: Chutanga – Chhetrawa (4155m.)
Day 05: Chhetrawa – Kothe (3555m.)
Day 06: Kothe – Thagnag (4175m.)
Day 07: Thagnag – Khare (Mera Base Camp 4690m.).
Day 08: Mera Base Camp – High Camp.
Day 09: Mera Peak climbing period.
Day 10: Mera Peak summit (6,421m.) and back to Base Camp
Day 11: Mera Base Camp – Khare.
Day 12: Khare – Thagnag.
Day 13: Thagnag – Kothe.
Day 14: Kothe – Chutanga.
Day 15: Chutanga – Lukla & rest in Hotel.
Day 16: Lukla – Kathmandu by flight & transfer at Hotel.
Day 17: Free in Kathmandu.
Day 18: Last minute, transfer to airport for your onward journey.

Teahouse Trek Cost Includes:

• Land transportation by Car, Van, Hiace, tourist & local Bus (Airport/Hotel/Airport & trekking pick up & drop).
• 4 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu at Bed & Breakfast basis.
• All 3 major meals & Accommodation: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (by Lodge Menu) at twin sharing room during the trek en-route.

• All 3 major meals Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner (provide continental food) & accommodation in tented camp during the trek en-route. (twin sharing North Face tent or, normal trekking tent, dining tent, toilet tent, Kitchen tent, staff tent, Table, chairs & Kitchen utensil etc.).
• One professional English speaking trekking guide, 1 Cook, necessary Sherpa & Porters.
• 1 English speaking equipped climbing guide with his daily allowance and insurance.
