Chulu West & East Peak Climbing Chulu Far East Peak to the north of the Annapurna range is an ideal summit for those wanting to extend their climbing experience beyond the trekking peaks of Nepal. Chulu Massif rises north of the Marshyangdi Khola in the Manang region and form part of the Manang Himal, which is quite rightly included in the larger Damodar Himal. This remote upland area lies to the north of and in a rain shadow formed by the main Annapurna Himal. Huge glacial moraines abound etched deeply by wind erosion into fantastic pillars. Chulu Far East ascent is not difficult and we will settle a high camp near the col. From that Col we follow the long South-West ridge on snow and Ice.

Chulu Far Eat Summit Chulu East is also ideal peak on which to develop expeditionary style experience as members will play an active role in establishing the intermediary camps on the mountain. All though the approach up the Marshyangdi is relatively quick and involves no great altitude gain, the trek takes you through a wonderful variety of landscape and culture ; from the subtropical lower reaches of the valley with its terraced fields where Gurung people dominate, to the ethnically as well as socially interesting Manage people of the upper valley, crossing rhododendron and pine forests. After the ascent our route crosses the Thorung-La, a 5350m high pass before dropping to Jomsom downstream toward Kali Gandaki River from where you can take flight back to Kathmandu through Pokhara.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu free.
Day 03: Drive to Besi Shahar ten transfer to Tea House Lodge, Camp.
Day 04: Besi Shahar – Ngadi. (799m.)
Day 05: Ngadi – Jagat. (1,314m.)
Day 06: Jagat – Dharapani. (1,943m.)
Day 07: Dharapani – Chame. (2,713m.)
Day 08: Chame – Pisang. (3,185m.)
Day 09: Pisang – Chulu Kharka (Nagawal). Tented Camp.
Day 10: Nagawal – Chulu Base Camp (3950m.) Acclimatization & preparation.
Day 11: Nagawal – Chulu High Camp – preparation day. Tented Camp.
Day 12: Chulu H. C.– Chulu Far East summit & back to BC.
Day 13: Chulu Base Camp – Manang Village (3351m.)
Day 14: Manang Village rest.
Day 15: Manang Village – Thorung- La Phedi.
Day 16: Thorung – Thorong – La Pass. (5,416m.) – Muktinath. (3,800m.)
Day 17: Muktinath – Jomsom (2713m.)
Day 18: Jomsom – Pokhara by flight then transfers to Hotel.
Day 19: Pokhara – Kathmandu by tourist Bus then transfer at Hotel.
Day 20: Kathmandu free.
Day 21: Last Minute, transfers to airport for your onward journey.
