Uttarey Trekking

Uttarey TrekkingTour & Trekking Itinerary:

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport, meet our staff then transfers to Hotel.

Day 02 : Sightseeing: Swayambhunath, Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath temple and Patan durbar square with professional English speaking tour guide. 4/5 Hrs.

Day 03 : Kathmandu – Bhadrapur by flight then transfer to Border and drive to Gantok (Sikkim) (2134 m.) then transfer to Hotel.

Day 04: Gantok – Uttarey (2000m.) Drive from Gangtok to Uttrarey.  Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 05: Uttarey – Chewa Bhanjyang (3060m.) Trek from Uttarey to Chewa which is 8 kms time taken approx 7 hrs. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 06: Chewa – Dud (3610m.). Trek from Chewa to Lambi Thumka Gairy (Nepal) 14 kms time taken approx 8 hrs. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 07: Dud – Megu (4400m.). Trek from Dud to Megu is 15 kms time taken Approx 8 hrs. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 08: Megu – Boktok (3700m.). Trek from Megu to Boktok 18 kms time taken 7/8 Hrs on the way visit many lakes Lam Pokhari, Jumble Pokhari, Laxmi Pokhari. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.
Day 09: Boktok - Kokling (4657m.). Trek from Boktok to Kokling 14 kms time taken about 4/5 hrs , on the way visit Majur Pokhari. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 10: Kokling – Tigyapla (4303m.). Trek from Kokling to Tigyapla 15 kms time taken 4/5 Hrs. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 11: Tigyapla – Dzongri (4020m.). Trek from Tigyapla to Dzongri is 12 kms approx time taken 5/6 Hrs Overnight stay in a tent. Rhododendrons there are over 400 flowering species; a place called Deorali Dara provides a magnificent view of mountains. Then we reach Phethang for a break. After Phethang still further climbing we reach Dzongri here the Vegetation is thin and we tend to find only small bushes and shrubs for the night stay here is a tourist hut Its usually overcrowded and noisy. In Dzongri early morning we take a walk to Dabla Khang( DzongriTop) the view from this place is magnificent one can view all the peaks. Acclimatization here is must for further ascending trekkers. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 12: Dzongri – Thansing (3930m.). Trek from Dzongri to Thansing takes about approx 4 hrs after walking through the bushes and hedges. At first its walking in the plain table land after few hours we rapidly descend down the river Prek on The way one can view almost all the ranges above all Mt Pandim looks beautiful. In Thansing besides the government hut its all barren here is no civilization. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 13: Thansing – Samiti (4200 m.). Trek from Thansing to Samiti Lake takes about approx 3 hrs it’s just a easy trek through thin vegetation. Samiti is basically, in the base of mount Pandim because of its close attachment. With Mt Pandim here a small beautiful lake has emerged. When it gets snowed the lake with the mountain. Provides a spectacular unforgettable view. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 14: Samiti – Goeche – La (4940m.) – Samiti. Trek from Samiti to Goechala back to Samiti takes about approx 7 hrs, the trek starts with easy grading. We come across Zemathang which means ( sand-plainland) the trail goes through moraines before reaching Goechala one can view green lake formed right below the path deep down the hill, finally one reaches the second viewpoint from here one can view southern phase of Kanchanjunga. Further trek takes you to Yangitaar to spend one night in this place is worthwhile one can witness avalanche of Mount Khangchendzonga this place is recommendable because it is quite different than other entire trek, but during winter it is not possible due to thick snow which covers the path and makes it difficult to walk.

Day 15: Samiti – Cokchorung (3000m.). Trek from Samiti to Cokchurung takes about 3 hrs spent. Overnight stay in a Lodge.

Day 16: Cokchorung – Tshoka. Trek from Cokchoruing to Tshoka takes about 5 hrs is gradual descend through thick forest it's a long and tiring walk this route joins the route of Phethang to Dzongri trail. Overnight stay in a tented Camp.

Day 17: Tshoka – Yuksum. The trek from Tshoka to Yuksum takes about 6 hrs. Overnight stay in a Hotel. Trek Ends.

Day 18: Yuksum – Darjeeling by Jeep and transfer to Hotel.

Day 19: Drive Darjeeling – Bhadrapur and flight back to Kathmandu then transfer to Hotel

Day 20 : Kathmandu free.

Day 21: Last minute, transfer to Airport for your onward journey.

Camping Trek Cost Includes:

  • All land transportation by private vehicle tourist Bus (Airport /Hotel/Airport & trekking pick up & drop).
  • One full day 4/5 hours sightseeing with professional English speaking tour guide & temple entry fees. (As Per the trekking itineraries)
  • 4 Night’s hotel accommodation in Kathmandu, one night at Gantok (Sikkim) and one night at Darjeeling at Bed & Breakfast basis.
  • All three major meals B/L/D (provide continental food)and accommodation in tented camp (twin sharing North Face tent or, normal trekking tent, dining tent, toilet tent, Kitchen tent, staff tent, Table, chairs and Kitchen utensil etc.).
  • 1 Professional equipped English speaking trekking guide, 1 special trekking Cook, Kitchen boys, necessary Sherpa and Porters.
  • Life insurance for all support crews and their daily wages.
  • Per member 25 Kg. luggage allow while in the trekking. (If more than 25 Kg. then cost will be charged extra 10 Euro or 12 US $ per day for a porter).
  • Trekking Permit & National Park permits Fees.
  • Air Ticket: KTM/Bhadrapur /Kathmandu & Airport taxes.
  • Medical Kit Box for Nepali support crews.
  • All Official taxes and service charge.

The Cost Doesn’t Include:

  • Personal transportation except above programs.
